The message of "love, tolerance and acceptance" while flaming, attacking, discriminating and hating a group of people based on their beliefs. Mainly towards social conservatives as if their hatred, bigotry, intolerance and judgement is justified. It's one thing to disagree, it's another to hate people and hypocritically attack them when the attackers message is one of love, acceptance and tolerance. It's basically a sugar coating for "I'm right, you're wrong and you're also an evil bigoted hate-filled mongering... etc."

Where did this fantasy come from that "progressives" and "liberals" or whatever the label is we're using this week are all about "love, tolerance and acceptance"? We're about equal rights. I see no need to tolerate the desire from many religious people to prevent gay couples from having the same rights as everyone else.

I see that "well, there's that liberal tolerance!" argument barfed up on the forum at least once a day. **** tolerance. "Tolerance" is a weasel word used by people to defend their indefensible views.

Thirty or so years ago, the GOP cultural war on mixed-race marriages questioned how good of parents they would be.
That question has now been answered in the affirmative.

The same will be true in twenty or so years with same-sex couples raising children.
Some of these children are already born to these parents in "Hetero" marriages, and then the parents go "Homo".
Other children have already been adopted/rescued from desperate foster conditions.
Even more, especially the women, will be fertilized with male-sperm, as well as implanted with fertilized eggs.

These SSM marriage couples, who marry against the faith I was raised in,
will fight to prove how great of parents they are, just like mixed-race couples did .

There are some that advocate that, maybe not you but others have. If someone is going to demand or say their position is based on love, tolerance and all that wonderful stuff it does make them a hypocrite though to then go out to trash and thrash the non-believers. Bigot is also a weasel for used by people to defend their prejudice. "It's okay for me to hate them/slander them. It's because I'm intolerant of the intolerant" as so it is said.
