Removing bolts from rifles making them unoperable and having U.S. Marines to violate their own regulations and have them carring umbrellas happened under Obama's command.

That there has been numerous of shootings aboard military installations in the past five years and they didn't happen before.

I look at todays military and it isn't the same military I remember, or my father, his father or even George Washington. Todays military is starting to look like the face of America with all of it's problems.

In 2009, Barack Obama said that he planned to change the face of the military so it looked like the face of America. Social engineering and the dumbing down of the military has how he has been doing it. He didn't mention the dismantling of the military but he also been doing that.

And I've served, my dad served, and my family on my dad's side served all the way back to a father and son patriots in the American Revolution. Hell I spent most of my childhood as a military dependent being shuttled from post to post and one Air Force base. So I think I have a clue to what I'm talking about. All you do is rant.

If they haven't found a smoking gun yet you'd think the so called fiscally responsible party would give it a rest. What's obvious is it's attempt to circumvent Hillary's run for president. There are tons of articles out there. It really becomes an apples to oranges to watermelons game though. Why did they snap? What was their disorder before they snapped and what role did the meds play in the snapping.

The commanding officer of Fort Hood, Lt. Gen Mark Milley, told reporters Wednesday night that the gunman was being evaluated for PTSD but had not been diagnosed. Besides the depression and anxiety, Lopez had trouble sleeping and was taking Ambien, Army Secretary John McHugh told the Senate.

There is no record that Lopez saw combat or was injured during a four-month deployment in 2011 to Iraq, where he was a truck driver, military officials said. At that time, American forces were withdrawing from Iraq.

Records show no combat citations or ribbons, the officials said. They stressed that it did not mean Lopez was not suffering serious psychological problems — only that they did not appear combat-related, as is often associated with soldiers suffering from PTSD.

I believe since the 1990's.

Just a couple months ago the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Amos issued a directive or an order that all company, battery or squadron Duty NCO's will be under arms with loaded magazines from now on 24/7.

Back in the Old Corps I can remember while in Staging Bat. going into the PX at Las Pulgas to get a pack of smokes while carrying my M-16.

After Nam when I was with the 5th MAB at Pendleton it was common when coming back from being in the field to stop off at the PX to get some smokes and a chili dog and a coke from the vending machines that were at the PX while under arms.

Once while at 29 Stumps during the summer it was 112 degrees and we just humped seven miles across the desert in the blazing heat. As soon as we got back to camp instead of cleaning our pistols me and another Sergeant went straight to the NCO Club while under arms, I ordered a pitcher of iced water while my buddy ordered a pitcher of beer.

Under a gun free zone today I don't think any of the above would have been allowed.

OK, I will bite . . . what happened on Okinawa for 60-years the left-wingers would not allow to be cured?

I will agree that the crime rate in the military is not equal to civilian life, but I will say that bad stuff still happens. I spent 4-years in Okinawa and the murder rate amongst military dwarfed the civilian murder rate by at least three to one.

Had the goofy shrink who committed the first Fort Hood attack not been in the UNITED STATES ARMY, I would agree that it was a terrorist attack. Unfortunately for us all, he was in OUR ARMY. It was murder motivated by a perceived slight against the Muslim religion. I only say this, because the guy who shot up the range when I was stationed in Korea happened to be gay . . . his stated motivation was a perceived slight against gays in the military. Yet I don't believe he was a gay terrorist.

There is far greater gun violence in Illinois than Texas, and they have gun laws.

By the way, soldiers are not allowed to carry guns at Fort Hood. Perhaps that's the problem.
