Exactly, and that is an accurate description of the average resident of this toilet of a town. Which is why they don't need a green light to carry guns on the streets.

In Chicago it seriously would not surprise me if improved parking substantially reduced crime rates.

40 years of concealed carry in this country and all the dire predictions of a return to the wild wild west and...nah...not so much. For the MOST part, CCW holders are not and never will be the problem. For the most part.

Absolutely. then, put a sign on the people who flunk reading "yahoo." That way, we could tell at a glance and give the yahoos a wide berth.

Again...considering the ****storm you have in Chicago shouldnt you be more invested in resolving the 500+ murders annually you have there? The perpetrators arent too hard to find. Since...you know...you care so much about gun violence.

There are morons in every societal group.

I have seen a lot less in the CCW group, as most are well aware of their responsibilities of carrying a gun.

Right...its "blind ignorance" to suggest that rather than be concerned over the possibility that maybe somehow possibly perchance sorta who knows but MAYBE the law abiding citizens of Chicago are so ****ed up that unlike every other city and state in the country for the last 40 years where CCW has been made legal that CCW holders have a proven history of responsible behavior far and above the average citizenry and that INSTEAD you should focus on the known perpetrators that are killing an average of 500 a year and committing thousands more violent acts.

You may be right about Chicago. There may be Cities and or Regions of the US where a Permited Armed Populace equates to a all out Gun Fight.

The general innate rudeness of your average Northern resident is probably not going to mix well with a Concealed Hand Gun.

But then again, maybe Chicago citizens just need to get acclimated to the idea that their neighbors are probably armed.

Maybe after a few years of a lawfully armed populace, after a few arrest and shootings ( that already happens quite a bit in Chicago ) that innate rudeness will start to subside.

A armed populace is ultimately a polite populace. Houstons a great example.
People think twice because there is a real good chance your'e not the only one packing

PLus, Texans are used to their neighbors guns, its been a part of our culture and heritage for decades.

So you have two choices. Continue to arm the Criminals and the thugs and leave the rest unarmed, or give the citizens the right to carry, and let them evolve naturally into a better society.

For the most part, I agree. This person still deserves punishment, and is clearly not "law abiding."
