Britain celebrates its first legal gay weddings

Not the UK.. Scotland, England and Wales.. Northern Ireland still living in the dark ages as usual on subjects like this.

They are working on it.

I'd say they are a little better than we are here in the US since at least they are talking about a plan for national recognition, whereas we are still doing it piecemeal.

This so called "God" also so says that murder is legal, beating your wife is legal and many more "fun" things that we see as unacceptable today.

Where did God say any of this??

I thinking the Red Queen, Ali Baba and The Cat in the Hat say that too, but who's listening to them?

The best thing that could happen to modern Britain is that our leaders ruled according to the wisdom of Grimms' Fairy Tales or those of Anderson.

Anderson?

So few people want to get married over here nowadays that it is a good thing some same-sex couples prefer to, or the institution might well die out!

NI is different. Polls show that they'll depend on the tilt of demography to the Catholic minority to get gay marriage passed up there, if you can believe that.

Among those surveyed, less than half of those calling themselves Protestant (45%) were in support of same-sex marriage while the majority of Catholics (66%) and those declaring no religion (74%) were in favour.

Marriage, God, national pride, opportunity......everything is dead in the UK.

If it wasn't for soccer, I think the whole country would fall into a perpetual coma.

Many are now looking for greener pastures. It's unrecognizable to anyone old enough to have known what Britain, and her people, were.

Decent people play rugby. The country is always **** when the tories seize control. They are like your Republicans - we need to hang a few to encourage the others - to leave.

It' says they now have 2 legal definitions for marriage

(which leads to "untidiness in law but we think it's worth it" - paraphrased from article)

Isnt this what we are trying to avoid?

God has talked to you?

What's His voice like?

Speaking of God's voice....the Ten Commandments should be on soon! Easter is right around the corner.

I love that movie...know it practically word for word. I just love the spectacle.
