Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263:617]

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Fake News will not be caught dead saying
anything that would lead any of the sheep to believe Obama can do anything productive. Let's not kid ourselves.

You've been kidding yourself for some time.

The sheep are the ones who see this number as a Success.

Not even wanting the qualifying data that would PROVE it was a success because they believe everyone is as easily lied to as themselves.

You see a arbitrary number out of context and you dedicate a stupid thread to it.

WE see through the White Houses BS, and call that number what it is.

Food for the easilly entertained hard core Obama supporter.

If Obama isnt reporting how many people have paid its not because he doesn't know. Its because its really BAD NEWS.

I don't know what "Fake News" is. If you're talking about Fox News, they don't need to. That's what MSNBC and CNN do for you.

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Okay.....so now they have broke even with the 6 mil that lost their coverage. 6 minus 6=0! :lamo

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

As hard up Obama is for a Success story, if even half of these people paid, they would be reporting it.

Over and over and over.

As hard up as GOPs are for a negative story on ACA.
Over and over and over.
I'm catching on to rightie speak

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Will those 6 million who had their mostly ****ty coverage cut by insurance companies ever get it back?
Have some already gotten it back?
For every single one who gets it back, who will they vote for in November ?

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

6 million signups is nothing. why? unless you pay you are not enrolled.

the last check that i saw only about 80% paid for insurance and kept paying the next month.
only about 1/3rd of people didn't have insurance before
and very little of the young people have signed up.

overall it is not good, but i like how the administration trys to scam people by claiming 6 million people have enrolled and they haven't.

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

I'm curious Nimby. Do you ever contribute anything of substance, or have all 11,500+ of your posts been what I've seen the last few days from you?

I never watch Fox News. I watch MSNBC or Fox Business. MSNBC is entertaining.

Can Team Obama really count what is sitting in an internet cart waiting for a User to decide.....will they or wont they. We already have some info on them counting the cart sign ups. It isn't close to being accurate.

So why ask the same question which you already have the answer like in the other thread on the Extension.

Speaking of, I'm missing the Reverend Al's show. I only get to watch him when the husband and kids aren't home (like now). I'll bet he's going to be all over this good news.

Of course they're counting those. If not, the numbers wouldn't be even close.

I would prefer to see the bottom line number; those that have actually signed up, paid for and have been issued an insurance policy through ObamaCare minus the 6 million plus that lost their insurance due to ObamaCare.

That's the real number. So far, even counting those that haven't paid or been issued a policy, O'Care is still behind the curve when offset by those that lost their insurance.

But, that's not what we're supposed to talk about. It doesn't fit the narrative of "Hope and Change."

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

The idea was to have 7.5 million *PAYING* customers by Monday. Otherwise is couldn't pay for itself.

I dont quite think that if like Cinderella, ACA does not sign up 7.5 mil by monday...ACA will turn into a cleaning lady.

ACA has untill 2017 when the Republican House, Senate, and President will have to decide the plan for ACA.

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

When it comes to stuff life this, Forbes is no better than Fox News. It's a business website owned and run by businesses. I don't expect such a website to say good things about Obamacare.

Well, it was the only one that bothered to define sign ups, which is why I linked it.

I don't know what "Fake News" is.

I don't pretend CNN or MSNBC are fair and balanced. You and your ilk think Fake News is. See the diff?

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Oh they know.

I dont buy that for a second.

They're running adds reminding people that just signing up doesn't mean your'e covered.

As hard up Obama is for a Success story, if even half of these people paid, they would be reporting it.

Over and over and over.

I disagree. I am signed up, and I don't owe my first premium payment until May 1. But, somehow you believe that I either paid my premium already or I don't intend to pay it? LOL.

Heya Beaudreaux. :2wave: Check these out. ;)

Finally, IBD offers the real reason for the extensions and the Obama administration attempts to dodge demands for the hard numbers from HHS:

No, the real reason for the deadline delay is that Obama is desperate to get lagging enrollment numbers as high as he can, any way he can.

It’s the same reason the administration refuses to produce data on how many ObamaCare “enrollees” have actually paid their premiums: HHS officials insist they just don’t have that information.

But this week Reps. Dave Camp and Kevin Brady discovered that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has been telling insurers to report both enrollment and payment data. That, the lawmakers say, strongly suggests “the administration knows who has enrolled and paid their first month’s premium.”

In addition, eight state-run exchanges — each built with federal grant money — have managed to produce nonpayment data for some time now.

That picture isn’t very pretty. In Maryland, 46% of enrollees haven’t paid their premiums so far. In Vermont, 36% are unpaid. Overall, about one in five people in these states has yet to pony up.

If that average holds nationwide, it means that fully 1 million people haven’t paid for their ObamaCare plans yet and could lose their coverage.....snip~

This was from a 30 min Radio Show where they used numbers from O'Care, CBO, and Kaiser. Then did the Math.

According to what I am hearing they wont make the numbers Obama reduced down to. That they needed 40% of the young. They don't even have 30%. Moreover they don't know how many have paid.

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

The White House announced that 6 million people entered some kind of information on the websites. No mention of how many of them actually paid. No mention of the fact that we were constantly told that there were 48 million uninsured in 2012. No mention of how many of the 6 million were from the group of 5 million whose insurance was cancelled.

But to the left, this is exciting news?

This is untrue

"Signed up" means completing the application and not just "entering some kind of information on the website"

re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

I'm curious - since there were reportedly about 40 million Americans without any kind of health insurance coverage when Obamacare was proposed adopted and the intent was to allow more people to qualify under Medicaid guidelines and to qualify under highly government subsidized plans, where does the 7.5 million paying customers figure come from?

Actually, it's 7 million and it comes from the original projections for how many people would buy insurance through the exchange

Democrats, including the President, made up whatever they needed to make up to sell this scheme to the American people, and they're still making crap up to justify it.

Individuals in both parties are guilty of exaggerating the truth when it comes to O'Care. Certain Dems lying about how great it is, and certain Reps lying about how bad it is.

The Republicans would still have enough to demonize it without making up crap. The Democrats should just stick to the good parts, and admit the screwed up parts.

In other words, the Dems should take the Reps up on the repeal and replace plan, and then take credit for pushing the Reps into acting on health care reform.

I just don't get it. This could be a win/win for the Dems. The Reps would have a hard time taking credit nationally for health care reform at all, even IF the Dems agreed to repeal and replace. The Reps could get credit on a local level in the Congressional districts and the Dems could still get the national vote numbers to hold the White House in 2016 (not that that's what I would like to see, but they could).

Well, that was until the Dems came up with their own Alternative. What they call Mend Don't End. But then they want The Repubs proposal of letting Insurance cross state lines. They want to keep it in addition to OCare. But it wont help them keep their seats.

Here Are The "Fixes" Democrats Want for Obamacare

Writing in today's POLITICO Magazine, Democratic Senators Heidi Heitkamp, Mary Landrie, Mark Begich, Mark Warner, Angus King and Joe Manchin are outlining some of the ways they think Obamacare can be fixed. Notice how many of these Senators represent red states.

First, we want to give consumers as many choices as possible when it comes to selecting their health plans. By providing a new, lower cost, high deductible option called the Copper Plan (in addition to the existing Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze-level options in the marketplace) we will give consumers more control over their own coverage, spur competition and, most importantly, increase affordability.

We also propose directing state insurance regulators to develop models for their states to sell health insurance across state lines. These multi-state models will help us discern the benefits and challenges of selling health insurance in this manner, and determine if it is a means to increasing choice and competition among plans—potentially driving down costs while maintaining quality and value.

Second, to ease the transition for employers, we want to expand the option for voluntary coverage for employers with fewer than 100 employees, about 98 percent of all businesses. This will enable small and mid-sized businesses to make their own choices for their businesses, and employees can shop for coverage on the individual marketplace.

Finally, we simply want to make it easier for individuals and families to access quality health coverage by offering more than one way for individuals to enroll. We seek to provide a permanent path—in addition to HealthCare.gov—for consumers to seamlessly enroll directly through insurers, while improving access for the agents and brokers whom many families and small businesses trust and rely upon for help with these decisions.....snip~

You can read the entire proposal here.....snip~
