The ACA is requiring that medical records become computerized so tests are not repeated.

In Lee County Florida all the doctors can access a patients files with the patients approval.

Any X-ray cat scan MRI blood tests etc that a person has at any hospital, clinic or Dr. Office in Lee county can be accessed by the patient or any of the patients doctor so all know what tests have given , that way duplicate tests are not repeated. If the patient is on vacation in another state and becomes ill the on call doctor can access the Lee county medical records for that patient.

Once all patients records are computerized the savings on non duplicated tests alone will be enormous.
That's it? Some clerical updating going to get my wife back on my plan so I don't have to now pay two premiums a week? That's genius.....
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

Clinical updating will save money in the long run.

Insurance companies are limited to percent of profit they can make which will save the consumer money.

I don't know why your wife is not on your plan.

My daughter and her husband have 2 different plans so they also have two premiums.

That is the way with many couples now.

Not all companies offer family plans.

Yes, anything run by a bureaucracy will always save taxpayer dollars.

Funny, no mention of this on Fox? Shocking I tell you. Shocking.
You do realize 6 million is roughly 2% of the US population?

What a milestone 2% after 8 months.... Do those numbers seem to you like US citizens are enthusiastic about Obamacare?

But you must believe! Just give it time and it will work someday.

    Would Barrack Obama lie?

The majority of persons already have insurance. Many of those people work for companies that pay at least half their premium.

The ACA helps those who do not get insurance through an employee plan.

The resistance is amazing - they will never be able to implement Obamacare with 2% - and that is only enrollment and waivers (and who knows how many of that 2% is waivers)... As far as I know no one has been given an "Obamacare plan" just yet.

My understanding was that something like 40 million people (numbers varied) didn't have medical insurance and the ACA was intended to cover them. That doesn't seem to be happening.

    Is my summation correct?

You're wrong - very wrong! Only 35% of US citizens have private plans. Even if you want to get really liberal 50% of ALL US citizens are covered under a private plan (but 50% is just not realistic).... Either way 2% is extremely insignificant...

In order for Obamacare to even be a program worthwhile you would have to see 60-70 million people enroll...

That is not going to happen.

The USG has spent over 700m on this signup circus. Why is anyone having to estimate anything about it? You'd think a system costing $700m+ would be a little more concrete, don't ya think?
