Russia and the West traded sanctions over Crimea last week, but for some ordinary Russians the Kremlin has not gone far enough.

Some have taken to posting "sanctions" notices in their businesses, alerting President Obama and other American officials that they are no longer welcome to shop there.

One of the first to appear online was a store selling honey, declaring "President Obama is banned from entering the shop."

Since then, the movement has taken off online, with others holding similar signs up declaring "SANCTIONS" in capital letters.

"Given the US position on the situation around Crimea, I hereby advise that Barack Obama and members of the US government and Congress will be denied any legal assistance. This is indefinite," a lawyer posted on his office door.

Perhaps recognizing that the "sanctions" notices held no weight, others are clearly mocking the signs.....snip~

Guess the Russian people are lashing back and mocking Obama's Sanctions.....now even other countries are starting to put up Notices to Obama. Although some are saying any members of the US Congress. Do you think this is getting under Team Obama's skin?

One person this might actually hurt.....would be Johnny Quest McCain. Since he luvs to go overseas and play off the Tax Payers money. This guy will do anything he can to get overseas.....so other leaders can think he is major force to be reckoned with. That 20-30 years and all and how presidents come and go.

Now we just need to find all the American responding back with our own Sanctions on Puddin'.....huh?

My group of patriots is tougher than your group of patriots.

Yeah CT. :2wave: and what's next? Don't sell anything to each other?

Nuh uh! Next they will start renaming foods. It won't be "Beef Stroganov", but rather, "Beef Freedom" and it wan't be "Caviar" but "Americar".

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) next week will probably be claiming that these Russian businesses refuse to serve blacks and they will be put on the SPLC Hate Map as being racist.

Why did the Russians feel the need to annex Crimea?

This was part of it. ;)

THE BLACK SEA FLEET

On Crimea's southern shore sits the port city of Sevastopol, home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and its thousands of naval personnel. Russia kept its half of the Soviet fleet, but was rattled in 2009 when the pro-Western Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko warned that it would have to leave the key port by 2017. Shortly after pro-Russian Viktor Yanukovych was elected president in 2010, he agreed to extend the Russian lease until 2042. Russia fears that Ukraine's new pro-Western government could evict it......snip~

All we need is another Joseph McCarthy with his 'Red Menace' nonsense.

It's funny to think that if this had happened when I was a kid in the early 80's I would have been crapping my pants on the hour, every hour. Now all of this is just kind of pathetic.

Don't we have that cable show now Grip.....The Americans? Yet its a show about Russian Spies in America.

Does that region not share similar defense concerns?

Not really, if they are leaning towards Western influence.....but then there is the issue of those that are Russian in the Crimea. Shouldn't they get to decide as a people what they want to do?

What about general concerns such as regional geography, airspace, and of course, location?

Wouldn't you have to then go by.....who Built all that holds the Russian Black Fleet and the ports there then?

Would that regional geography, airspace, and of course, location need to be avoided by any belligerents?

Hasn't it always been that way.....and for any who have a Naval Fleet and Military installations?

Which brings us back to the point of, why wouldn't States in the same region not share the same defense concerns.

Would it be impossible to enjoy any division of labor in that effort?

What defense concerns? They do the same thing as the Russians. What does that have to do with the Crimean people wanting to make their own choice, a Reason why Russia would have any concern, and from what you originally asked?

Nuh uh! Next they will start renaming foods. It won't be "Beef Stroganov", but rather, "Beef Freedom" and it wan't be "Caviar" but "Americar".

You remind me that after the war there were tendencies to rename "Russian Salad" to "American Salad" here. It did not last long for that type of salad was indeed Russian by origin.

We changed the name of "Russian Tea" to "Black Tea" or "Home Tea" though. The temperatures required for tea to grow cannot be met in Russia. Thus the tea we have is not from Russia as Serbs would led us to believe.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) next week will probably be claiming that these Russian businesses refuse to serve blacks and they will be put on the SPLC Hate Map as being racist.

Now, seriously, this is very, very, good idea on how to counter this in a best possible way! Where are the race sensitive AA's when you need them?

I guess it may still be, too much to ask.
