Seriously, that's part of his problem. He just doesn't seem to radiate much passion for some reason. I don't know.

This is the type of activity Oleh Tyahnybok's political party, Svoboda engages in:

If Ukraine does nothing, Russia is going to absorb their entire country before the year is out. Where is your care about the war footing Russia is on? Where is your care of the, on an national scale, mugging of Ukraine by Russia that's happened so far?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Not anticipating the break up of the Soviet Union, Moscow gave Crimea to Ukraine. Prior to that Crimea had been part of Russia for over 100 years. Putin acted to secure Russia's interests in having access to the Black Sea through it's naval base at Sevastopol. Furthermore Putin will do no such thing as absorb all of Ukraine. It would drain Russia's already fragile resources to try to maintain control of the whole of Ukraine, and Putin knows that. So what you have put forward is just not going to happen.

So when Russia invades, and they will, what will be your stance?

At the very most, Russia may attempt to take some parts of eastern Ukraine that are predominately Russian. Maybe take some land to link with Transdniestria. Those things would be possible. However, crippling sanctions would result. Putin knows that, and he doesn't want to put Russia through that at this point. It simply is not worth it. Even the other day when Lavrov mentioned increasing Russian sanctions on the US in response to Obama's second round which targeted Bank Rossiya, Putin put down the idea and said, “I think we should refrain from taking steps in response for now." To me that indicates to me that he is trying to signal that it's time to cool things down, that he did what he had to do.

He's got resolve and he also has sense. Ukraine is way too turbulent right now. He knows trying to take all of Ukraine would be too difficult. He needs the West to rebuild Russia. Doing anymore than he has already done would send that down the drain.

    What do you mean?

What part of your country is under threat of being annexed?

When Americans are threatened the whole country stands up to end the threat.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the things America does but when it comes to defending yourselves, you are an admirable force. And not just militarily.
