    What you really mean is all it requires is public money. For my share, use it for more drilling. You can throw your money away on a BS environmental paradise if you want.

    From the report: Despite the leak, officials said that air and water quality tests in the surrounding area have all turned out well, and that local water supplies are not at risk. As RT reported previously, the oil had primarily collected in a marshland area the size of a football field

    I'm sorry to hear that Ohio is now just a little bit bigger than a football field. I vacationed there in 2009; it seemed much larger to me at the time.

Now I for one think that because we have people in this country that don't understand the limits of our Federal Government, and choose to further that ignorance by promoting ideas that stray further, and further from the freedoms that our founders envisioned, and passed on to us through twisting their intent for their own warped view of 'a better way', and they have the power to actually vote equal to mine.
    I am not sure what you mean; they are only limited by the social Powers delegated;

    To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings
    They could solve simple poverty in the federal districts by a simple voice vote.

    No, it's not the govt's responsibility to encourage job creation in the private sector.

    The proper role of govt. is to stay out of the private sector, and never make laws or enact policies that favor one industry/private entity over another. THE END.

    Yes, the fossil fuel sector requires periodic bailouts with the (other) Peoples' money. Why not insist on a federal Standard that insurance must cover the costs.
