Normally I'd agree with you that the news media would fight such a bill..... I'm not so sure. The media is so far up Obama's ass they can taste what he has for breakfast every morning, and they want to keep a Democrat in that position - if they had their way - forever. I think SOME news media will resist, not all.

A bill has the power of government's monopolistic use of force. What the heck are you talking about.
 
It seems we already have good law to protect journalists. It's called the First Amendment.

Now if the criminal bastards in government would enforce the First Amendment, things would be just fine.
