Banners for one group should mean banners for all groups and I know I've seen banners at the SP Parade.

Yeah there are banners for schools etc. not banners for activist groups. Big difference. What part of "NO Activism" don't you understand?

You keep trying to imply that a Catholic or private organization organizes this, please provide proof for that comment.

I don't particularly care what the Church's policy is, or how the Irish feel about it. **** the Irish. They're parading through public streets, and public resources are being used to divert traffic from those streets. If they want to have a private party where nobody gets to say **** about how they run it, they can take it to some asshole's field out in East Bum****.

Good for you. They pay for those public resources. Btw, majority of those at the parades are actually Protestants.
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office. H.L Mencken

I think you mean "the public" pays for them. That's why they're public. Because nobody's got the corner on paying for them.

Kidding aside... it's still a Catholic Holiday.. if St. Patrick's Day wasn't a feast day.. Irish Catholics wouldn't drinking on that day per Lent rules. See the catch?
    What Lent rule is this?
