I thought gay beers were the one's that had fruity flavors added...

Have you ever been to either of those parades? I knew the NYC one well. There are a million Irish dance and musical/band and police groups, locally sponsored community service groups, church groups, for example, in each of the boroughs....loads of them and they all march behind banners with their organization's name on it. Why should a LGBT organization not be able to have their banner? It's no more political than the others.
I think denying the banner was the committee's biggest mistake mistake. Should have allowed a single banner which had to have prior approval. From what I gather, the committee didn't want activism in the parade which is pretty consistent standard amongst the various groups marching.

Probably worked out anyway. Saved the marchers from the abuse that would come with marching that route.

What a horrible marketing scheme. Lets see, you're gonna market a beer for a small percentage of the population. Might have a little bump initially but they'll be re-marketing this crap (come on, its a honey-ale) shortly after launch.

Its so very sad that gays are turning the Saint Patrick's parade into a political event. They can stick their LBGT flags where the sun don't shine.

Let the gays have their own parade and they can fly all the flags they like.

But they never said they weren't including homosexuals. They just said no flags and banners.

I see this as eventually causing a backlash. I see this as a reason that may cause more Catholic democrats to start voting Republican.

Do you have such disdain for all veterans or just the gay ones NP? Did gay veterans somehow serve this great country less than the straight ones did?
