Sure, but I think that those folks already have a book, probably better to write another book about the crazy myths and superstitions, beyond astrology, that liberals hold dear in their lives.

I like looking at the stars through a telescope. I think they are interesting. Not enough to study them but their story is amazing. But I ain't the one to let them tell me when it's time to wash my hair. LOL!

I always though Ronnie and Nancy was a bit coo-koo what with all their astrology and all.

I'm not talking about "psychic voodoo astrology" - I'm talking about astrology (astronomy)...

The Mayans have the most accurate calender known to mankind (as did the Greeks/Romans) and they were merely astrologists - not astronomers.

Do you really want to have a debate on this?

If you believe your horoscope is bull**** I agree but horoscope **** is just nonsense - those fools are snake oil salesmen.

The truth is throughout our earliest history intrigued and intelligent individuals were always looking at the stars and they realized a lot - like the earth was round and that there was 24 hours in a day, and seasons (bad and good growing seasons) weren't just some "anomaly" or punishment from "God/Gods" - they knew the earth rotated around the sun, and I'm quite sure had the library of Alexandria wasn't burnt we would have know this as scientific fact 700-800 years ago (as if it wasn't well know at that point already - which it was).

They knew all this 2000+ years ago.

So astronomy and astrology are certainly not poppycock.

I could write a book on how important the stars were to ancient cultures, and how they understood the cosmos better than present humanity can.
    Astrology is NOT a science

    Astronomy IS a science

    Conflating the two is ignorant

If they were they would be touting the specifics (which granted, they have at least done this with the Keystone pipeline) instead of hiding behind vagueness. Most of these bills abolish regulations, most of which make sense to be in place because of prior abuse...and as a small business man, few, if any stand in the way of progress (of people making investment in a business).
Why waste time? All progs do is dismiss, and continue the lie that nothing was offered.

What a cop out! You can't answer because you know I am right. It's funny how the truth has a liberal bias.

You can not state that the Progs have no ideas (though, a recycled conservative idea called the PPACA isn't really much in the way of evidence).... you can not show us evidence the Cons have any ideas. In fact, the Republicans have not proposed and passed much in the way of meaningful legislation (other than tax cuts) in over 100 years; its a party devoid of ideas.

Obama's proposed minimum wage and higher are sweeping the Nation, even here in Oklahoma City.
DEMs run on positives, like getting people health care and higher wages.
GOPs run on negatives, the Nixon play-book .

History books will not look kindly on the GOP and ther tactics used to keep people from signing up for insurance.
A look at the two new Georgia laws would make one think Putin wrote them, but Putin is nicer than our Georgia legislature .

Conservative posters in this thread are accomplished at tying together progs and the "lie" word .
