Yeah, they said the US is a danger...and I want to live there.
No, they did not!

The one I took last year, you missed it?
Just kidding.
(CNSNews.com) – The past year witnessed bloodshed in Syria and Iraq, turmoil in Egypt, anarchy in Central Africa, threats by a nuclear-armed North Korea and Chinese military posturing, but as 2013 ends a global poll finds that the country seen as representing the greatest threat to peace today is ... the United States. - See more at: And The Country Posing The Greatest Threat to Peace as 2013 Ends is
A system that is designed to stop 1 or 2 rogue nukes might be prudent but not if it creates another nuclear arms race. We are years away from the tech even for that though
The world always gets more nervous when Democrats are elected.
Was it your understanding that the shields in Poland and Czechoslovakia, which Obama cancelled, would start a nuclear arms race?
Yeah, that's a real bi-partisan statement.
It doesn't matter, thankfully they were cancelled.
Is it? Do you come here expecting bi-partisan debates?
Perhaps you should ponder a while before you post.
Why are you thankful for that?
The world always gets more nervous when Democrats are elected.
They're unnecessary for one and for two, see number one.
Sure, why not. It would be nice if Americans were that first and republicans, or democrats second.
Thats because the world runs on and respects strength and always will. Liberals think it runs on sunshine and rainbows.
No, they did not!
Something else that is interesting to consider is the image we have of Russia and what it means to be Russian compared to what we have here. Think about it.
We have an overbearing government complete with the NSA to spy on us and the IRS to intimidate those who complain, which when questioned refuses to answer questions anyway. And don't forget about the drones.
Poverty? Last I heard 47 million on food stamps. Obamacare is cutting working hours for many to under 30 a week and that number will climb. The don't even bother trying to tell the truth on unemployment any more.
Goverment control of industry? Think GM. Chrysler and the health care system.
Has anybody seen that guy who made the video that supposedly caused Benghazi? What ever happened to him?
Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge. You know what Ukraine is to Russia? It is the economic portal to eastern Europe for energy. Of course, as Americans we would never condone... oh wait, we did that to. Except thousands of people died when we did it and we are still there. In Ukraine no shots have been fired.
Yeah, we definitely have the moral high ground here. 'Murica.
Ridiculous.
Obama says he is against the Crimea referendum because it violates the Ukrainian constitution.
So if the Ukrainian constitution said all gays should be shot on sight...would he agree with that because it is part of the Ukrainian constitution? Of course not. So to say he he supports Kiev on this STRICTLY because it goes against their constitution is absurd.
And is he for a country denying a state/province/territory the right to independence if that area overwhelmingly votes to separate? Of course not - but that is what the Ukrainian constitution (in essence says)...that the Crimea cannot leave just because it's people want to. So basically, even if 100% of Crimeans voted for independence, they could not go without Kiev's approval...which is clearly ridiculous.
So, Obama cannot agree with either and he wants to verbally attack Russia...so he comes up with this pathetic compromise.
'Crimea cannot leave because it goes against the Ukrainian constitution'...what a complete pile of excrement.
The only thing he should say if he wants to make a fuss is:
'We support the Crimean people's right to self-determination, if that is what they honestly wish and vote for. But we require independent monitoring of the referendum to make sure that the voters' are not unduly influenced by various external/internal forces'.
I agree with this except for the word Murica. Its not cool to dis people because of how they talk. Try to see through it.

yes they did.
"Paradoxically, just because people view the U.S. as the biggest threat doesn’t necessarily mean they wouldn’t like to move there if they could.
The pollsters also asked, “If there were no barriers to living in any country of the world, which country would you like to live in?” Some countries where the U.S.-as-greatest-threat view holds strong are also those where America would be a prized destination as a new home country.
That pattern was especially evident for Greece, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico, where the U.S. topped the list of places where people would like to live if they could."

Not really-the purpose was presented as stopping Iran from getting nukes-immediately after they dismissed that.
