Obama warns US will 'isolate' Russia if Putin doesn't pull back in Ukraine

Which is why (to answer your question) the future will be long on "threats" and "consultation with allies" and "opinions of the global community" and short on "actions."

:) Well thank you. I really think the President is just bored by it all. Other nations failed to realize the grandeur that was He, and adapt their behavior accordingly, embarrassing the predictions of the proponents of "Smart Power". It's all, therefore, rather a pain, a distraction from golf, and a distraction from trying to find decent wedge issues to rescue Democrats from Obamacare in the 2014 mid terms.

Who says they don't? Just because "your" eyes and ears don't know about it doesn't mean there isn't a plan in place already. This is a very fragile issue, and any hastily made action could be for the detriment of the world as a whole. Look at what Kennedy did in the face of near nuclear war, he had patience.

Putin is far too financially involved in trade with the G8.
He is playing a game to see how much they need him and mother Russia.

The USA has a sabotaging GOP, save Eric Cantor and his statement of support for the President. It was no accident Mr. Cantor was a statesman with Mr. Netanyahu in town. No Drama Obama will continue to guide us with a steady hand through all the minefields .

Obama has a multitude of ways to strangle Russia without firing a shot. Hope you aren't invested in the Russian stock market, it went down 12% today. A simple cut-off of rail, air, train and naval traffic would send a clear message. Freezing their overseas assets and suspending
visas should happen toot sweet .

You see, there is no military solution. Britain rejected it on the week end, Canada yesterday, Poland the same day, for all those reasons. Trust me, the collective military intelligence of all of NATO, Poland, Ukraine, as well as the Pentagon and maybe even the Vatican has been over this, and if they aren't even talking about it, it is not Obama's to own.

In retrospect, the decision to screw with Putin's head and mess with Ukraine was pretty damn stupid. He poked a big ugly stick into a giant wasp's nest with no way to deal with the wasps so now all he can do is avoid the stings

I'm not necessarily affording him this, but he could just be the first president of America (of late) that realises that there are interests other than ours.
 
Seeing all the Obama apologists reminds me of an old joke.

A guy is out with his friend at a restaurant, and his buddy jokes as he always does saying "I hate my wife".
The guy laughs as he always does but the next day they are again getting dinner-when they see his buddies wife out on the street getting beaten by some thugs-and the guy tells his friend "cmon, lets go help her!", but his friend replies "naa, she probably deserves it."

No, every one doesn't know it. While I'm personally disgusted with him, I don't believe he's done anything wrong concerning Ukraine, yet anyway. You partisans on the other hand could never be satisfied with him, even if he did what you thought was right, he'd still have brown skin. Your racism is evident in every ****ing post. You should just go try (emphasis there) to be a good doctor.
