Gay hair stylist drops New Mexico governor as client because she opposes same-sex marriage* - NY Daily News

Soooo, here it is, the other side of the coin. For all of you who cheered the veto of the Arizona protection of religion bill, we now have the flip side. Governor Martinez' hairdresser refuses to do business with her any more because of her views on gay marriage. Anyone want to try to defend this bigotry? After all the claims of Equality, it seems that equality really ISN'T the point after all.

Personally, I'd sue his panties off just to make a point.

Sue him if he wants to be treated equelly and fairly by people who are against his lifestyle, he should then treat those with a lifestyle or opinion he is against equally as the children in the USA say the golden rule? I'm gay and I think this guy is an idiot and he is one of the many reasons that kind of slow down progress in the LGBT community

I agree. I'm a Christian business owner who has no problem doing business with gay people... except for one, but not because she is gay but is an unreasonable bitch.

You're forgetting that gay rights is THE hot issue right now and in this country, under those circumstances, a homosexual can do no wrong so this is something that needs to be celebrated and the hair dresser needs to get plenty of face time on the networks and cable news to spread the word.

Your comments would lead one to believe that America is a nation that is based on laws when the fact of the matter is that we are more and more a nation reliant upon popular opinion and media frenzy.

Sure is quiet in here. What, no accusations of bigotry? Nothing?

83 reads at the time of this posting. I think the silence says more about many of you than the comments you made in the other thread.

Sure. I think private businesses should be able to decide whom to do business with according to whatever grounds they see fit.

The point being, what he's doing is illegal.

Well it's not the same they are always picked on and made to feel ridiculous because they are always picked on for being ridiculous. It's not easy being a homosexual hypocrite because they don't really exist only the haters say they exist, so there!

What he did is both illegal and wrong.

I'm looking forward to seeing what AgentJ has to say. It will be interesting to see if he is "factually correct". He is, after all a master debater in his own mind.
