And simply WRONG. It is a propaganda lie coming from the Ukrainian defence ministry. It has been denied and debunked by the Russians. The amount of miss-information coming from especially the Ukrainian side is massive.

Eh? Denmark has never been part of a Greater German Reich. Denmark was invaded and occupied by the Germans under WW2, but it has never been under German control otherwise. Plus the Danes dont speak German, nor do they have "German cultural" links.

And military camo's can be bought anywhere. Hell I would say they look like US troops as well... does that mean the US has invaded Crimea?

Normally I would not question the Guardian too much, but no one is reporting this. I smell a rat with the tweeter.

EDIT: Just saw a video of it, and it is not exactly as you seem think it was. Yes shots were fired.. in the air by 1 guy and then they met and talked.... very peacefully. Hardly the "first shot".

Your opinion runs counter to reports from the reporters who are actually there, as well as Russian state TV.

Perhaps it would be beneficial, if you were to evaluate the situation with a bit more detail.

Yes warning shots. A large group of men approaching military check points.. if it had been US troops at the check point, then they would have fired warning shots as well.

Actually it does not. If you followed this mornings news (at least here in Europe on multiple channels), then you would know that most news organisations are reporting that the reported threat came out of the Ukrainian Defence ministry and that the Russians have officially denied it. Both sides are now downplaying it.

Do you understand that the people (the nation) are sovereign, not a dictator. Dictators lose their right to speak for the people.

There are no sovereign governments, only sovereign nations.
