... which dictates that activist federal judges should stay the hell of states' business on any area not explicitly made federal.

Right.

There is, in fact, an amendment between the Ninth and the Eleventh. Try counting if you can't remember which one.

Their idea of the 10th is to put it on super-steroids, as we see on anti-gay.
And now their latest affront is to voting rights in Ohio.
The sensible Roberts Court will be kept busy by the State's wrongs being perpetrated, as in AZ . :peace

But, wait one, I thought Roberts was an eViL republiKKan that was going to destroy the court and the nation. Funny the difference a couple years can make.

as a blanket statement that is 100% false

unless you can quote me the other 48 states and what thier duties are, thier oath is and what the laws says you got nothing

in PA and VA where there were threads on ti and looked into it was 100% legal, ethical and met the requirements of thier oath, job and law.

now if you can find out its not, i will agree with you and say i personally do not support holders suggestion for all states and think he is wrong but the two i looked into held up to legality, oath and job requirements 100%

Since we're talking about Texas: Texplainer: Is the AG Required to Defend a State Law? | The Texas Tribune

The Texas Constitution charges the attorney general, the state's top lawyer, with defending state laws and the state’s constitution. The attorney general is also charged with representing the state in litigation that challenges state laws or in lawsuits against state agencies or state employees, according to the attorney general's office website.

Lauren Bean, a spokeswoman for the attorney general's office, said the elected officer is obligated to defend the state and its laws and cannot “pick and choose” which ones he or she is willing to defend based on political views.

"The AG is not empowered to second-guess the wisdom or policy implications of a duly enacted Texas law," Bean said.

It does go on to say that how that the state Constitution allows for how 'effectively' one chooses to defend the law.

In this case, Texas AG Abbott will vigorously defend this law.

I could extend this anti-GLBT phobia and abuse to other state's wrongs, but I would be thread derailing.
Therefore, I will not mention the TX gun law that should be Nationalized, or that we should have just ONE 'CC' law, vs. 50.
Or the two new voter suppression laws in Ohio today.

stat doesn't get to violate individual rights
RNC chief Reince Priebus refused to give an opinion on the AZ law, afraid to upset the Independents or his very own social engineers .

As usual, going all zimmer on me with your kk's has zero to do with my post.:lamo
When the going gets tough, TEAs make unconstituional laws to disenfranchise voters and discriminate against 'those' people .
But, wait one, I thought Roberts was an eViL republiKKan that was going to destroy the court and the nation. Funny the difference a couple years can make.

3.)In this case, Texas AG Abbott will vigorously defend this law.

1.) uhm TWO things
A.) we were NOT talking about texas backpedaling now wont help this is what you said

Those state AGs are sworn to uphold the laws and Constitutions of their states. What Holder is suggesting is unethical and illegal.

AGs plural
States plural

B.) did you read your own link? did you understand the part about unconstitutional?

2.) her OPINION is meaningless until you can do this
we need the state laws/constitution
we need the states description of the duties of the AG
and then we need the texas state's sworn oath of the AG

many are worded the same and in fact say an AG can in fact choose not to defend a law the is unconstitutional

3.) a school budget law? was there an argument saying that it was unconstitutional?

what am i missing

He's just afraid of the mindless PC crowd screaming before the next election.

He's a big *****.

agree agree and agree

what sucks about fighting against piece of **** states that infringe on individual rights like they do for gays with guns issue is its hard because some of the protesting or ignoring of the law could wind you up being a felon.

unfortunately its much easier to fight against the state infringe on rights when it comes to gay marriage than it is for guns rights

a couple can get married in one state, go to texas and then fight for rights or fight against discrimaintion and thats awesome

but if i take my gun to texas in an illegal manner i quickly could be a felon. although i do have a CC in PA and currently texas recognize it. :)

You might of noticed nothing is set in stone. This is just one Leftist judges opinion.

It's going to happen. If there's a failure this time there will be another time. Sharia will not prevail in the USA.

He's just afraid of the mindless PC crowd screaming before the next election.
Priebus is Walker's man, being from Wisconsin.
At this point, Rep. Ryan is sick of both of them.
I must admit I'm liking Ryan more and more, since he is intelligent.

If Ryan does run, he'll be called a RINO, which I would advise him to call a compliment.
After all, he learned from the Rino QB Jack Kemp .

I misspoke saying the plural but, an interview I saw this morning with the WS AG where he said 'many' was on my mind. Pardon.

As far as the rest it's pretty clear. Do you own homework.

Sharia kills gay people. Are you accusing Texas of murder?

(LOL... I used Liberal logic)

1.) you mispoke TWICE and brought up holder and now are beginning up texas AG which has nothing to do with gay marriage? right if you say so
2.) no its not theres nothing you have posted that supports your factually wrong blanket statement

if you want your statement to be true YOU do your homework and prove it lol that not my job lol

until then at best you are guessing and going off the other AGs your are likely wrong
