It's just the one poster (well, more than one). Let's not tar the reputation of honest and reliable Conservatives on this board by lumping them in with this waste of bandwidth.

You are right (er - correct). I just did the very thing I accused the other guys of doing. I should have written "Why are SOME OF those who call themselves "Independent" or Libertarian or Conservative unable or unwilling to discuss matters ..."

Over 44% of the Chilean people supported Pinochet in a national election after he resigned. That's more than those who now support Barrack Obama.

Right and left leaders supported Mubarak and Hussein only when they served their purpose. What did you expect?

Has it been established that those charged are 'freakin' insane' or even 'right wing'?

So then, what is your proof that they are 'right wing'? I saw nothing in the article you provided in the OP where they made any statement on their politics.

Funny thing I noticed, Rasmussen Reports, generally a bit biased in favour of the right has the President at 51% approval numbers.

As we can see the numbers now have him hovering in the 40's but, in any case, Pinochet was in the same ball park as Obama in a fair and honest election AFTER he was dictator. The Left hates Pinochet because he got rid of a Castro supported coup. The Left has always supported Castro, Guevara and the rest. The Chilean people didn't want that.

Attacking innocent people is why some of us that would otherwise support their view believe them to be nuts and idiots.

Insane is also defined as doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. By that definition, all socialist are provable to be insane.

I haven't heard of any left-wing "militia" groups in the US, have you? It is the radical 2nd Amendment movement which constantly quotes that part of the text - you know, the "well-regulated militia" words. Although most of them seem to ignore the "well regulated" bit.

Just for the sake of argument, what if they were say agnostic libertarians who support free markets and free sex. Would that make them right wing or left wing?

LOL, so you can't point to what I asked you because you made it up...And to answer your question, yes I have heard of Left wing militia's in America....Surely you've heard of the New Black Panthers?

Are they actually socialist? Do they not participate in a global market economy? Would they be able to sustain themselves at their current standard of living and technology without the influx of money and technology from that market economy? If their population expands beyond the income that their sale of a natural resource brings in, would the be sustainable?

The statement I answered by posting the RCP link had specifically said the President's approval numbers were lower than those of Pinochet. The poster didn't say the "same as"
