I ask because I truly don't know. My concerns questioned more on the scenerio of a handful of ideologists, (in respect to total population,) creating havoc when they don't get their way. Is the government right to meet them with force?

Obama demanded the government of Ukraine resist violence. Would America be preaching the same demands if 50k rednecks were knocking on the White House door trying to burn down the government? I submit that even our government would use violence in such a situation or to put down a coup.
When are where should I meet up with the other 49,999?

Check out this Orthodox Priest. Priestly garb? Check. Cross? Check. Gas mask? Check. Shield? Check. Burning wasteland in background? Check.

So what can Washington, DC learn from this? That listening to the people is important maybe?
Id like to say the chump in chief might realize that his foreign policy is an utter disaster, and that perhaps he should speak more forcefully FOR people seeking freedom from oppression, but he's putins b itch. In the mean time, russian communists and other agitators continue to take pot shots at people in the streets, its disgusting.

These priests, on the other hand support the people and are doing much to keep the violence from getting worse. I respect people who walk the walk.

I heard on the news that the police have surrendered the Presidential palace, and are not attacking anymore-so perhaps. But I dont expect the pro-russian communists to end this so peacefully.

What is horrible about all of this, especially for Ukraine and democracy, is that the President was elected democratically and is being threatened with removal by a mob. Despite what some say are drachonian attempts to quell the protests, new elections are only a year away. In the end, it must be asked if democracy is actually being served and if the people's will is not being allowed to be voice because street demonstrations took away the right of the people to be heard through the ballot box.

As American's ask yourself, knowing our country in this day and age...would our government sit by passively, being democratically elected, and allow street demonstrations, mobs, and rioters topple it?....I don't think so.

Hitler was elected democratically. The people have good reasons for wanting to expel the govt.

    Causes
Suspension of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement by the government[1]
Russian foreign policy[2] and threat of Russian trade sanctions[3]
    Government corruption[4]
    Police brutality[5]
    Goals
Signing of the EU Association Agreement and Free Trade Agreement[1]
    Impeachment of President Viktor Yanukovych[6]
    Snap elections[7]
Re-adoption of the 2004 Constitution of Ukraine amendments.
International sanctions against Yanukovych and Azarov government members[8]
    Rejection of Customs Union membership[9]

And yet, elections are only a little over a year away. This has set a horrible precedent that in years to come, as political ideas sway, may see repeated over and over again. It is bad for democracy, and has only served the agents that give lip service to it.
