Yeah, but not the nuns of popular stereotype. Those are wimples, which form a part of the habit, so either way I was still right.

It was not immediately clear what the sentences were for the two other peace activists.
The incident began before dawn on July 28, 2012, when the three cut through a chain-link fence surrounding the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
They then walked nearly a mile, cutting through three more fences and breaching what was supposed to be the most tightly secured uranium processing and storage facility in the country.
It was not until hours later that a guard finally confronted the activists who, by then, had hoisted banners, spray-painted messages and splattered human blood on a building that houses highly enriched uranium.

Sounds like she did them a favor. Hard to imagine that 3 years in the click will "cure" her.

I have to wonder if any heads will roll over the lapse in security?
Yeah Uranium out of a reactor........You're talking bout 5-30+ years of shelf life..... More like 1000.

    WTF...

What more do you want? This is an 84-year old lady.
Why do you Libs always assume that everyone is as susceptible to demagoguery as you people are ?

    Her age is irrelevant.

She was spry enough to break the law.

I have two thoughts about this issue:

    1. If you do the crime, be prepared to do the time. From the article, I get the impression that she has no problem doing the time. So be it.

    2. Her being a nun really doesn't enter into the issue or absolve her of guilt, but I have to say that I'm surprised a nun would do such a thing. I was raised Catholic...went to a Catholic grade school for a number of years...and I really can't imagine any of the nuns I ever knew doing this kind of stuff. I don't know...maybe the nuns I knew were more into God than the one in this story.

The facility manager and security manager need 35 months in the clink for being so ****ing incompetent. The nun just needs community service...which she sort of already performed.

So if a 12 year old did this age wouldn't be a consideration?

    Lol !!!

Wow ! If she was "12" then she woukd be processed as a juvenile.

But...she's NOT a juvenile, in fact she's far from it therefore her age is irrelevant
