The First, Legal Gay Marriage In Texas?

NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – Judge Carl Ginsberg presided over two ceremonies its participants believe are the first, legal gay marriage in Texas.

Two couples said their “I-do’s” and all four people consider themselves female. But one member of each couple has had their gender changed surgically from male to female.

Well, according to the state of Texas, these are not gay marriages, but we will have to wait for the Baptist Taliban's opinion. Still, these 2 couples had to go to 17 different courts before they found one that didn't say their getting married was illegal, and that they would perform the cermonies.

Same here, it held no connotation what so ever to homosexuals. I think that has to be a fairly recent thing, like in the last 20-30 years or so.

The term "gay" started about the mid 1960's.

I never knew that, but it was in 1967 I went overseas compliments of the U.S. Army and didn't return until 1976. Up and until that time all gay meant to me was happy. Who knows, maybe being gay made them happy and thus they chose that word.
