AFAIK, they did not report the race of either Martin or Zimmerman when the crime initially occurred. They only reported the race when they reported on how people were complaining about the lack of prosecution being racially motivated

You are incorrect.

So you agree that the media should report the race of those involved when a people are claiming that the govt acted in a racially biased manner, yet when the media reports the race of those involved in a racial issue, you think it's wrong :screwy

You are dishonestly misinterpreting what I have said. As usual. My point is to the crime, not how it was handled or investigated. You know that and are trying to dodge in your patently dishonest manner.

No, the claim that the crime was racially motivated was started by the Martin family and their supporters, not the media

Incorrect. It was started by NBC, and their dishonest editing of the 911 call.

Anyone with half a brain can see what you were doing.

1. Present emotionally charged story of blacks attacking a white.
2. Claim that whites never attack blacks, we "know" because it would be national news.
3. Claim that blacks attacking whites is being suppressed in the media.

That is the standard-form call to violence found in every racist organization in America.

If you actually gave a crap about the story, you would not have used the standard form rhetoric of inciting racial violence.

Like I said, MY so called call for violence is nowhere except in YOUR head.

You are incorrect.

I've seen no evidence that contradicts my claim

The fact is that the media said nothing about race until martin family and their supporters made it into a racial issue. At that point, the media reported their claims, and rightfully so.

Yes, you think. You can't substantiate it though.

Anyone who doesn't know whites commit crimes against blacks every day is a moron.

Just because you don't understand what you've been taught to do does not mean the rest of us should ignore the obvious fact.

If YOU were the standard of cognition, this board wouldn't even exist.

All you have to do is google and read for yourself.

Your going to try to completely ignore NBCs role in this, aren't you? Enough of your dishonesty.

Anyone that thinks assumptions are facts, is a moron.

We're still waiting for the evidence of this vast media conspiracy to suppress information about black on white violence.

Maybe you should ask the truthers to help you.

Wrong.

The Martin family supporters made it a racial issue long before NBC reported on it.

The Martin family issue was with how the investigation was handled, not with the crime itself, while media reporting implied the crime itself was racially motivated. Try to stay on point and stop trying to dishonestly divert.

The OP.

When did you stop beating your wife?
I haven't. But what does that have to do with anything? Is it too much to ask for you to just address the issue? Or do you just have nothing of substance to add here?

The OP.

How does one link show media bias? You do realise that there are quite literally hundreds of media affiliates, thousands of reporters and quite literally millions of news sources out there reporting on similar events? Do you? Show us some sort of pattern. :)

Seems to me that whenever issues such as these get discussed, you end up with a bunch of extreme social conservatives who ARE racist on one side and a bunch of apologists for black racism on the other, replete with heaping amounts of denial on both sides.

It is very difficult these days to adopt a position that everybody should be treated equally and hold all to the same standards -- not when these two polar opposites refuse to do so while dominating the conversations.

The OP.

The OP article counters your claim of vast conspiracy. Like truthers, you invent evidence out of thin air.

If you are so wise that no one understands you, why waste your time with us know-nothings? Go cure cancer or something. Put your genius to something productive rather than casting your pearls before us swine.

Or, actually prove your point. Which, by the way, you haven't done.

There's no such thing as black racism. The term is used by racists to imply that bigotry by blacks is the same as bigotry by whites. Given power dynamics, that is clearly not the case. The term 'black racism' is nothing more than a false equivalence employed by racists in attempt to claim that common bigots are as detrimental to society as organized actual (institutionally backed) racism.

Typical liberal response when you get caught in one of your lies. Forget the subject and attack your opponent.

Irony. And I'm not even a liberal. hahaha

Hate to sound like an apologist for black racism here, but where is the black racism in this crime?

Actually, it is part and parcel among apologists to create such a template whereby two races are treated very differently. By creating a definition where blacks can't even BE racist, those who view the world in such double standards are indulging in the very methodology of the racists who adopt the opposite approach.

I have lived in a place where I was a minority, my child was a minority and neither of us had ANY power when dealing with the Black racists of the Oakland School district. They DID have the power, they used this power to discriminate and they victimized those who were not in power.

I find it quite odd how the idea of holding all people to the same standards and trying to be as truly color-blind as possible is trotted out as the "racist" position while systems of black privilege are trotted out as non racist.
