you are wrong. all states put in bids for companies to build in their area.
you can continue to believe this but then again you are believing an untruth.

there are no strings attached at all. they will give X tax breaks if they come here. it is called a contract.

which is no different than the union promising all these benefits that they have absolutely no way of getting unless the company gives into the demands, or they lie about contracts in order to get their workers to strike. yea that isn't unethical at all

The union can't offer benefits until negotiated.

If true, you are correct. We'll apparently know soon what the truth is, since I have heard nothing either way from VW. If they get tax incentives from the state for expansion, that is a common practice, as Ludin pointed out in his post #367. It does benefit people who would like to have a good job, so I have no problem with that, and it is legally done everywhere.

Yes, there were strings attached. "Two Republican members of the state Legislature said VW would have a difficult time getting more state incentive money if the workers vote to unionize. "

The problem is they threatened to pull it away if they unionized. That money clearly is coming with strings attached.

Most money comes with strings attached, or the lobbies in DC wouldn't work so hard on their own behalf when dealing with our beloved congress-critters! What else is old news in politics?

I agree and it's corrupt and needs to stop.

that had no bearing on the union vote. the majority of people that voted no on the union cited the UAW destruction of the big 3 for their reason not to go with the union.
