He doesn't need to. The VW exec who said it no doubt would prefer to remain anonymous. Besides, we'll know know the truth of the matter in a few weeks.

Oh, first you said that I was most likely the one lying about what Corker said. I presented the evidence and now it was more likely VW who lied which makes no logical sense. Corker clearly is the one who had no interest in the union. Even Will B. admitted that in your OP.

As I have posted from the beginning, VW is playing a complex game to protect both their good political/union relations in Germany and their union-free flexibility in the US. That is consistent with everything that has happened and with Corker's statement.

We all know that Politicians lie, from the top on down,, but on something like that...No. His only fault may have been in preempting a statement that VW was planning on making soon, though, but that's for he and the VW people to work out. It has nothing to do with the way the workers at VW voted, since they already have jobs, and that vote was very carefully watched by both sides! I think it's time for the finger-pointing to stop.

    Greetings, rabbitcaebannog.

Still doesn't make sense because the company still wants to have relations with the union. If they didn't want to, they could call it a day after the vote. The Germans have a very different relationship with unions than the US. They are not suddenly going to turn anti union because Norquist said the Dems will take their guns away.

Hi Polgara, I'm going to have disagree. I believe the motive has to do with Corker being coached by the lobby that feeds him (Norquist and friends) because they are very anti labor.
