Yep... the corrupt unions failed their members and the companies their members were working for. Good riddance.

I wonder... what would happen if say... Apple were unionized? I do hear a flushing sound...

That it was this close shows how close the workers are to being freed from the GOP Gulags.
The biggest difference between a Right to Work State and a Union state is that in a Union state the workers aren't given the option. So by your way of thinking the inability to vote is freedom and freedom to vote is a Gulag. You are doubleplusgood at this.

That a United States Senator had to intervene and lie his A$$ off about VW shows how desperate the GOP is.
VW corrected Corker several times and you didn't notice Sen. Alexander saying anything, since he is up for reelection.
He said he figured the decision would be made within weeks. This could just as easily be based on the fact that without the Union the state of Tennessee will green light VW subsidies, which it will.

That Grover Norquist had to be called in to buy up billboards replacing the word AUTO with OBAMA in UAW should remind DEMs just how low the
GOP will go to maintain their death grip once a right-to-work status is determined.
You mean like MoveOn.org buying billboards in Texas? Is that how low the GOP is going? Careful they don't land on your heads!

The GOP has now given the DEMs plenty of new material here.
It is now up to the DEMs to use it wisely and go-for-the-throat, as the GOP has just done .
The GOP allowed a vote that never would have happened in a Union state and the union lost. You go ahead and try to my political hay out of that.

Which of course raises an important question: Why is a union even necessary when the company in question wants it? I'm sure they could ask UAW what its members are paid and pay the new hires that amount, right?

Therefore.... what? Did Corker have a role in VW's expansion plans? He did not. Why, therefore are you so focused on Corker, aside from his providing a convenient and lazy excuse for the UAW's failure?

The irony and short memories of union supporters is hysterical. Outside groups, misinformation campaigns, scare tactics? Guess they forgot the campaign for Scott Walker's recall. Or its just OK and worthy when they do it.
