It has to do with helping you to understand the complexity of VW management's position.

Explain why basically NO AUTO COMPANY does ANYTHING in DETROIT anymore if it is so successful for a company to have the UAW.

To understand the long term effects of the UAW all a person has to do it visit DETROIT.

OK, now it's your turn to blame everyone but the union for the collapse of the auto industry in DETROIT.

UAW and Democrat controlled Detroit, Michigan to be specific.
The unions didn't collapse the auto industry in Detroit.

If VW as a company was so intent on union participation, why are most of the VWs sold in the US made in Mexico? Check the VIN on your "German" car, the first digit denotes country of origin.
The a Mexico plant is unionized.

Probably because they have a plant in mexico. it is cheaper to ship parts from mexico than over the ocean.
VW is still owned by a BMW and they have high standards in their manufacturing.

I figure IMG will do an internal union separate from the UAW and then they can do their work council that they want. that or try a more local union that isn't attached to one of the big national unions.

Glad you pointed that out. It negates the assertion that union built products are superior. They produce the Beetle there for sale here in the states. The biggest POS since the Yugo.
