Out of the hundreds of thousands of regulations can you tell us which regulation were eliminated? And who eliminated them? How was it done? I want to encourage whoever did it to keep it up until the people are once again free from a vast, meddlesome, federal bureaucracy.

I and they (UnionFacts) happen to actually followed the links and researched.

The numbers I posted are correct and they come from the same source you used, OpenSecrets.

It just happens UnionFacts and I went further than you did. You only looked at one election cycle, 2012.

the VW hasn't worked with the UAW. unions in europe are way different than here. over there they have work councils that deal between management and workers.
UAW is just out to collect more dues. they are already asking their current members to raise the membership dues this year.

maybe if the union bosses weren't pay 500k a year or more they would have more money.

the biggest hitch is that the workers there saw what the UAW did to the big 3 and wanted no part of it.

he is saying that the inspectors were paid not to inspect the plant.

of course i want to know why the union people running the plant didn't say something was wrong and why they were dumping ash into the river or in the case of WV why no one notice a tank dumping 5k pounds of chemicals.

It's possible that a lot of the workers at the Tennessee plant used to have jobs up North, possibly in Detroit. When those jobs left, they migrated to the Southern States for work. Apparently the workers feel VW is treating them fairly, and they don't need a union to represent them at this time. In the meantime they are working and making money, and that's important to them. If things change, the union is still there, and nothing says they can't have another vote later.

    Greetings, Jack.

I believe he said this was due to deregulation.

I want to know how someone managed to get rid of a regulation so that tens of thousands of us can go after all the rest of the regulations that are still on the law books.

I doubt most of the workers came from anywhere but TN. I also doubt the UAW will ever again come as close to winning as they did this time.

This is a good thing, as UAW plants tend to shut down, and despite the lefts recent spin-jobs and productivity are good things.

I don't want to see anyone lose their job. the problem is that the UAW along with other unions have pushed companies away from dealing with them.
their constant demand for more more more with no regard to the global economy is what has killed them.

it costs an US auto plant 70 dollars an hour to pay for 1 union worker.
it costs the same foreign plant 60 dollars or so. the reason? pension mostly.

US plants continue to run up huge legacy costs on pensions while their counter-parts are smart and went with good matching 401k's.
