I'm completely on board with this effort, which is also being pursued in Maryland and Tennessee.
O look another politician who's counting on people not understanding how government works and what it can and can't do, and even worse look at all the people so quickly proving him right.

    Can you be more specific?

Literally the first sentence of the article

A state representative wants to shut down the National Security Agency’s Utah Data Center by shutting off its water, but has not yet filed a bill that he acknowledges has little chance of passing.
In other words, "I haven't done anything yet, and anything I will do probably won't accomplish anything."

Do you really think that the state, even if this suggestion became a bill and that bill became a law, could actually force the water to be shut off in a Federal building?

Sure. Although there would certainly be a legal battle.

And it will go nowhere and in the mean time waste tax dollars and government resources, and the morons who voted for this guy and his supporters will love every second of it.

If the government is going to spend money, I'd love for it to be spent on fighting for the Constitution.

To me its the push against a policy that many recognize as an affront to our fourth amendment protections.

I'm pretty confident this isn't going anywhere.

True. I don't think anybody does. What could go somewhere is Jim Sensenbrenner's bi-partisan bill to overhaul the NSA. That's where the effort should be focused.
