Welcome to the Banana Republic of Amerika

The Obama administration Monday announced another delay in the implementation of the requirement that employers provide health insurance for their employees.

Another part of the Affordable Care Act delayed for a year

Obama Looks to Illegally Change Obamacare . . . Again
The Obama administration is considering an extension of the president’s decision to let people keep their individual insurance policies even if they are not compliant with the health care overhaul, industry and government officials said Thursday.
Avalere Health CEO Dan Mendelson said Thursday that the administration may let policyholders keep that coverage for as long as an additional three years, stressing that no decision has been made. Policymakers are waiting to see what rate hikes health insurers plan for the insurance exchanges that are key to the overhaul’s coverage expansions.
“The administration is entertaining a range of options to ensure that this individual market has stability to it, and that would be one thing that they could do,” he said.
To put it bluntly, this is illegal. “Prosecutorial discretion” is one thing; completely ignoring a part of what the Left is awfully fond of describing as “the law of the land” is quite another.

'ObamaCare" is useful shorthand for the Affordable Care Act not least because the law increasingly means whatever President Obama says it does on any given day. His latest lawless rewrite arrived on Monday as the White House decided to delay the law's employer mandate for another year and in some cases maybe forever.

Mornin Zimmer. :2wave: Yeah someone threw it up in the ACA forum. Glad you have the Hammer and his remarks as they have been trending!

Maybe we can get a Mod to merge the threads.

This law/program is certainly bringing a lot of confusion to an economy on the brink, which needs uncertainty like a millstone around the competition swimmer's neck. But that's what happens, when you vote for the man that says he can. Next time maybe people will have realized that experience and record are more dependable indicators of competence that boasting and fine verbiage.

I posted this yesterday, and it was moved to the ACA forum.

I think it should stay here. It's incredibly important, and it has HUGE implications regarding abuse of presidential power, constitutional law, the coming elections, and politics in general.

This is the most important "breaking news" going. It should stay here.

Heya Erod. :2wave: Well it is one.....the other is about the Debt Ceiling Limit.....as the GOP sent a repeal of the COLA to Military Veterans. But the Democrats are saying they want a Clean Debt Limit Bill.

Which is alright to.....as any Republican that votes against the Debt limit. Will end paying a heavy price with holding their seat. The Democrats are going to eat as they refused to give up anything and are responsible for going after the vets benefits.

Looks like Boehner is caving.....again.

Boehner may be caving or he may be giving himself an out with the vote and maybe he's counted votes and is assured of an outcome on this one.

They cant implement it until they have the whole gang of 300,000,000 of us on board - it really shows how stupid our government actually is - at least those advocating Obamacare.... Of course the knee-jerk reaction by the progressives is that the "tea party" is responsible for their failures instead of their ****ed up progressive non-logic.

This is a perfect example of progressives playing the general public like a bunch of dummies.

I would expect the rich minded intellectuals behind this nonsense to embrace science and account for Newtons 3rd law and place it in a social context.

every action has an equal and opposite reaction

Cool. Obama should just pass a bill saying "Stealing is bad" and keep it amending it with his executive tyranny

What do you mean "brink"? Oh! You mean the salivating press corpse and their endless the economy is on the "brink" of recovery!

Isn't it interesting how it's always a "surprise" when their salivations turn out to be cow manure?

This is a bit of a mess, isn't it? I'm saddened to see so many problems arising with the ACA.

I switched my insurance over to Minnesota's new plan and - for a single person who makes very little money - it's great. So, so much better than my private insurance. I get better coverage now and pay less. That's what really saddens me about the many, often complex problems with Obamacare and its implementation. We're capable of getting people better insurance without taking anybody's insurance away from them, but apparently that's not how this is playing out. Nonetheless, I'm one of the beneficiaries of the new legislation and I'm so happy and grateful that I no longer have to spend $15,000 a year for medical needs when I don't make much more than that.

It's a bit off topic, but I think that in the wake of all these problems, it's important to point out that this legislation has helped a lot of people. Has it been good for the majority of Americans? That I can't answer.

We need to get a thread going on this.....he needs his head stuffed up his ass. We have the Dems cold with the Cola.

Boehner's head is there already... we need to find someone to replace his sorry ass. He need be defeated by a Tea Party challenger.

In relation to this, and to the previous actions that caused some controversy such as the decision to have immigraiton officials actively ignore certain individuals here illegally similar to the caveats of the dream act...

Would it be reasonable, within the perogative of the executive "enforcing" the laws, to direct the IRS to delay for a year the implimentation of a law passed that raised taxes on the top 1%?

Would it be reasonable, within the perogative of the executive "enforcing" the laws, to direct the IRS to ignore violations of the tax code for two years by businesses with 100 or more employees as a means of "focusing resources" on other violators of tax law?

Tasty mouthful.

Isn't it odd to find not one King George Commie Lib floating a defense here?

Where are you Libs? You find what Obama doing fine? You would accept this type of Bananarama Republic behavior from a Republican?

Where are you folks? Did some type of Lib Neutron bomb go off and nobody told me about it?

They know this law is ****ed up like Hogan's goat and are trying to do damage control.
