Iran sending warships close to US borders[W:623]

Re: Iran sending warships close to US borders

As witness their willingness to oppose American foreign policy.

The conservatives are the ones who oppose the domestic policy.

The NSA, weaponizing of the IRS, Benghazi. And its crickets from the "principled" left.

Face it, weve got your number.

Re: Iran sending warships close to US borders

There are recent threads here where forumites admit as much. Like I said, it just takes some questioning.

Really, I haven't seen anybody post that they don't like America.

I complain about all that and much more. You still try to pigeon hole me as a lefty.

The NSA... is that really foreign, or domestic policy? No one seems to mind that but the libertarians.

Weaponizing the IRS??

Its both, and Im a conservative who minds.

And yes, turning the IRS into a political weapon to target opposition is a low blow, if Bush had done that we would never hear the end of it.

Its reasonable to figure that the left seems to think this is fair play, in which case the right will catch them on the flip side.

I disagree that the left thinks it was fair play. They just deny that there was unfair targeting.

Oh, that's the meaning behind "weaponizing" the IRS. Just a bit of an exaggeration. But, isn't that what I said originally, criticizing domestic policy is the job of the "conservatives"?

Its not a "job", but since the Democrat parties policies have demonstrably failed across the spectrum, its their job to mitigate the damage.

The left will feign interest in fixing things until just after the mid terms.

Correct, and the right will feign interest in fixing things until such time as the get back into power.

It's not just police unions and cover-up "internal investigations," you also have to factor in the dirty judges, DAs, and juries.
No it is police unions that get cops paid leave during an investigation. The cover up and internal investigations have nothing to do with that. Are the other things problems that are out of hand yes they are but that is not what you said. You said it was a police state that got them the time off. Also I dont know how you get dirty juries just stupid ones. We have no one to blame but ourselves for that.

Yes it is. Go check out the unconstitutional checkpoints in Tennessee. I can list numerous examples.

Tennessee to roll out "No Refusal" blood-draw DUI checkpoints for Labor Day | Police State USA

No. Paid days off are not examples of a police state like you said and what I was responding to. If you read my post I said there were other examples that were signs Like your link) of a police state just not what you listed in the first post I responded to.

We're already there. Just because APCs aren't rolling around on every street in America (and certain towns already have these) doesn't discount the authoritative state we're living in.

In the end we both think we are either at a police state or headed that way. I just think that your example was crap.

Re: Iran sending warships close to US borders

Except things really need fixing, and the left seems incapable of solutions-just lowered expectations.

Yes, a lot of things need fixing.
Whether the right or the left can fix anything remains to be seen. As it looks now, I'd not bet on the Congress being able to fix much regardless of who has a majority.

Re: Iran sending warships close to US borders

Right, the denial that makes them guilty. If you had watched the testimony, you'd know how damning it is.

I do know, I'm no defender.

Well at least we agree on the important part.

Yes, things really due need fixing, and you ignored his point that it won't be republicans doing it either.
