They can sail up to a foot of our territorial waters as far as I'm concerned. We should make it our business to know exactly what they are doing while pretending to ignore them, until such time as they actually do something.

Because the US is a little nutty about preemptive strikes. I wouldn't run up to the biggest guy (Shaq) in the room and shake my fist in his face.

Hey, I'm with you. We started a mess over there screwing around with installing regimes. But if they target us for terrorism again, some redneck US leader is going to bomb them back to camel riding.

That could happen too. I think the Iranians are doing this for home consumption though. One Virginia class sub could have the whole Iranian fleet on the bottom in 15 minutes or less. They wouldn't be able to find it before it would be over.

Sailing your navy in international waters isn't shaking your fist in anyone's face. Or do you think that's what it is when the US navy does that?

Only the United States is allowed to do that. We should go in and establish a democratic government in Iran by force. Anyone who disagrees is a Communist who hates America.

Quds Force and Takavar (Iranian Special Forces) are considered some of the best in the world. They aren't pushovers. Israel, US and UK Government can tell you that as they've seen them fight first hand in places like Bosnia (when US and Iran had the same objective), Lebanon, and Iraq. Hell, a lot of the Iraqi leadership we relied on during Iraq War were protected and kept alive by Quds during the 1990s.

If the ships enter US territorial waters, we should intern them at the very most. Until then, they are not violating international law, and so neither should we.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iranian warships dispatched to the Atlantic Ocean will travel close to U.S. maritime borders for the first time, a senior Iranian naval commander said Saturday. The commander of Iran's Northern Navy Fleet, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, said the vessels have already entered the Atlantic Ocean via waters near South Africa, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The fleet, consisting of a destroyer and a helicopter-carrying supply ship, began its voyage last month from the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas. The ships, carrying some 30 navy academy cadets for training along with their regular crews, are on a three-month mission.The voyage comes amid an ongoing push by Iran to demonstrate its ability to project power across the Middle East and beyond.

Before we get the same mindless posts from the forums lefties-let me say this-NO, I dont think they are a direct threat to the US (these ships and their crew would very quickly be exposed to large amount of kinetic energy to resolve the threat), but thats not the issue-the ISSUE is that the worlds bad actors see our President as a chump, and they are comfortable punking him and the US.

This is what weak leadership gets you-emboldened bad guys.
