Maybe my knowledge on international law and protocol is lacking, but don't you have to actually be at war with a country before you just willy nilly blow their ships to smithereens?
Merely being an armed naval vessel on the water doesn't mean they are an actual threat. You make a very poor argument.
Operation Praying Mantis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaIn 1988, the United States launched Operation Praying Mantis against Iran, claiming that it was retaliation for the Iranian mining of areas of the Persian Gulf as part of the Iran-Iraq war. The American attack was the largest American naval combat operation since World War II. American action began with coordinated strikes by two surface groups that neutralized the Sassan oil platform and the Sirri oil platform of Iran. Iran lost one major warship and a smaller gunboat. Damage to the oil platforms was eventually repaired.
I dont need to make any arguments, they are being watched right now, probably by several submarines they dont know are there (but should suspect are). We probably know what time of day the captains take a ****.
