Rainbow Flag Will Fly Over Montreal City Hall During Olympics

My 'love' requires nothing of the other person. I have in-laws that are gay. I love them unconditionally. I care for them. I support them. I dont agree with them, nor do I change my position on gay marriage. But I LOVE them. I love them unconditionally. They know they are welcome in our home and they FEEL welcome in our home. Yours and others stated position that unless you agree with them and change your position then you don't love them is simply foolish.
You use words I gather you don't understand the meaning of. Unconditionally, love, care.... not even believable based on your stance that they remain second class citizens. I give them huge credit for not punching you in the face given your hypocrisy. Clearly they have way more integrity than you do.

I'm sorry you feel that way. You continue to embody the hatred that CAUSES dissension. I suppose you call that tolerance.

Sad. Tragic.

I dont even know if thats his stances he keep dodging that part

but yes if that is his stance then thier views are factually based on more love and integrity then his views

lol

why dont you simply answer the questions instead of dodging them and posting lies. Lets see if you can make posts with any integrity and honesty.

1.) do you think gays should be granted equal rights/SSM?
2.) Equal rights should never be voted on but if there was a vote tomorrow for gays to have equal rights/SSM would you vote yes or no?

cant wait to see your answers but i bet you dodged it because it exposes your REAL and HONEST views

Where have I shown hatred. I simply note your hypocrisy. There's been no hatred or anger. That's a strawman you're throwing up in order to justify your rudeness.

Reagan's response to the AIDS epidemic was pathetic.

What was Reagan suppose to do ?

Close the bath houses and outlaw buggery and tell the junkies not to share their chivia with their fellow druggies ? Well the Reagan administration did do that with the junkies.

What Reagan did do, he went after my wallet so 1% or 2% in America could continue their life style of unprotected buggery.

Liberal revisionist hate the following:

>"For gay Americans, any evaluation of Ronald Reagan's legacy begins and ends with his record on AIDS. According to the conventional view, Reagan was responsible for the deaths of thousands of gay men.

On the official day of national mourning for Reagan, the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) closed its office to mourn those who have died of AIDS. NGLTF's executive director, Matt Foreman, issued an open letter blasting Reagan for "years of White House silence and inaction." Eric Rofes, a gay author, complained that Reagan "said nothing and did nothing" about AIDS.

But Foreman and some other critics have gone even further, suggesting that criminal malevolence and anti-gay bigotry drove Reagan administration policies on AIDS. "I wouldn't feel so angry if the Reagan administration's failing was due to ignorance or bureaucratic ineptitude," Foreman wrote in his open letter. "No, ... we knew then it was deliberate."

According to Wayne Besen, a former spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, "we were considered expendable and forsaken by the President." Larry Kramer wrote in The Advocate that Reagan was a "murderer," worse even than Adolf Hitler.

Though exaggerated and somewhat misplaced, the negligence theory is arguable. The malice theory is a calumny.

First, it's untrue that the Reagan administration "said nothing" in response to the disease. In June 1983, a year before the virus that causes AIDS had even been publicly identified, Reagan's Secretary of Health and Human Services, Margaret Heckler, announced at the U.S. Conference of Mayors that the department "considers AIDS its number-one health priority." She specifically praised "the excellent work done by gay networks around the nation" that had spread information about the disease.

Despite the oft-repeated claim that Reagan himself didn't mention AIDS publicly until 1987, he actually first discussed it at a press conference in September 1985. Responding to a reporter's question about the need for more funding, Reagan accurately noted that the federal government had already spent more than half a billion dollars on AIDS up to that point. "So, this is a top priority with us," said Reagan. "Yes, there's no question about the seriousness of this and the need to find an answer."..."<

>"... it's untrue that the Reagan administration "did nothing" in response to the disease. Deroy Murdock, a gay-friendly conservative columnist, has reviewed federal spending on AIDS programs during the Reagan years. According to Murdock, annual spending rose from eight million dollars in 1982 to more than $2.3 billion in 1989. In all, the federal government spent almost six billion dollars on AIDS during Reagan's tenure..."<

There's more but it just embarrasses the left and questions the credibility of liberal revisionism. -> Reagan and AIDS: A Reassessment ? IGF Culture Watch

BTW: You know what alternative rock is ? Well the above link is from an alternative gay website. So when you start attacking the messenger, don't be surprised if you're called a homophobic by liberals because that's what they do.

I understand that the CW regarding Reagan and AIDS isn't 100% correct. I'm just saying he (or, rather, the CDC and HHS) could have done more, sooner. A lot more, a lot sooner.

Is it possible for you to post without yammering about "liberal" this and "leftist" that? Just once? You sound like a broken record.

yours and others hatred is quite clearly on display. And let's be honest...you and others are the only ones being 'rude' here. Your bitter hate filled rhetoric keeps you locked in this mindset that people cannot 'love' unless they embrace behaviors and lifestyles they disagree with. Its rather tragic but it DOES clearly illustrate the animosity in this matter.

It's like reading the Conservative Debate Playbook verbatim. When in doubt, accuse your opponents of "hatred" and a lack of "tolerance."

Dont be silly. I've never dodged this question. I am opposed to gay marriage. I have said numerous times if it were to be voted on tomorrow (as it has already in around 40 states) I would vote against SSM. And if it were to happen that it were passed (or the more likely eventuality, when a judge rules that it must be made legal) life will go on.

"I'm the victim, here!" he yells, as he rationalizes his unwarranted disdain for gay people.

thank you!

so then you views are infact bigoted and not based on love  thank you for proving that fact, you do not support equal rights

discriminating against people, denying them equal rights and treating them as lesser human being isnt love

name me and the others for caring about our fellow americans, for not being bigots and hypocrites for wanting them to have the same rights and freedoms as us, how dare we care about equal, civil and human rights, we are so angry and evil LMAO

like i said it reminds me of the guy who beats the crap out of his wife and then says he does it because he loves her, its absurd, dishonest and illogical

now if you can simply quote me saying anything about the other lies you stated that be great, we cant wait to read them

So then its quite ironic that you even admit life will go on with gay marriage legalized yet you would vote against it. You are the main problems in society. You just want to vote against peoples rights.

You are like those that voted against interracial marriage. Don't worry, I hope you are open about YOUR vote in the future, unless you are are a coward.

As you wish. But we DO have evidence that it HAS gone on in states where it was legalized...so...realism IS something I ascribe to. And the funny thing is...Im not voting to make gay marriage illegal...it already is. My vote would be to not change the law. And the funny thing is, up until he decided he needed to exploit the gay community for their campaign cash and votes, my opinion mirrored that of the guy you voted for president. Twice.

:lamo Pshaw...no one is claiming victim status. I am merely pointing out the fact. the 'hatred' is quite clearly on display. Its ...you. And of course others like you.

DING DING DING DING

Yes...I acknowledge that like the current commander in chief I believe gay marriage is 'wrong' (though he has described it as 'immoral'). And yes...you ignored that reality the first time you voted for him. The difference is that I wast running for office so I didnt allow myself to be goaded into changing my position to get campaign cash and votes.

Its really rather comical how easily you flash your hatred. And yet...sad.

your the only one in this thread that has displayed hatred

if you disagree simply post examples of the hatred you are talking about

who else in this thread wants people treated as lessers and thier rights infringed on . . . . only you lol

weird, none of that opinion changes the fact your views are bigoted and you are the only one displaying hater

let us know when this changes

FACTS WIN AGAIN :)

And that is where your comments are quite idiotic cause I didn't vote for Obama in 2012. Nice try, have fun eating that foot in your mouth right now.

Doesn't change the fact you are on the wrong side of history. I hope you have the courage to OPENLY keep admitting your view in the next few decades unlike those that voted against interracial marriage did.

Let me get this right. You're saying that 70% of black Americans in California are bigots ? If you say so, but I disagree.

Remember California's Prop 8 that would ban same sex marriage in California ? It was overwhelming passed by the majority. And that biggest majority were black American voters by 70%

Over half of Latino voters are also bigots.

Whites fared better, only 50% of whites are bigots in California.

I remember the day after Obama was elected in November of 2008 and watching one gay or lesbian after another being interviewed and they were outraged. They were saying they voted for Obama because he was black, and the blacks backstabbed the LGBT community by overwhelmingly voting against same sex marriage.

The LGBT community was pissed. I thought Westwood and San Francisco were going to hold Klan rallies and start burning crosses.
