actually you are making the same mistake vance make is

theres no such thing as "assless chap" or more accurately i should assy its redundant because ALL CHAPS are assless, thats what makes them chapps :)

it would be like saying, headless t-shirt or crotchless shoes

You're correct. All chaps are assless. Unless there's a bare ass hanging out of them.

doesnt matter what hangs out of them the chaps are still assless like all chaps, thier armless too lol

1) the correct analogy would involve a christian guy persecuting jews

2) these are not simply the olympics being run by a guy who happens to be russian, but the Russian olympics. Key difference

It punishes the russians by undermining their ability to host the olympics games in a quality manner ...
Yeah, the Soviets sure showed us in the 84 Olympics!

what are assless chaps?
View footage from or attend pretty much any 'pride' festival ever. Funny how ****ed up and desperate people can be in their effort to show how un****ed up and normal they are.

Ya, even in places where the marriage is legal, that's not good enough, they want then coerce churches into perform wedding ceremonies. That is where the demand for equality becomes intolerant of others beliefs.

You ever been called a "breeder"?
(Me either, but I've been present when a friend with children was called this with disdain)

No, it's not all, and I don't care what two people who love each other do with each other... you get tolerance and I'm not a bigot for calling them out on pushing for more.

bull **** maybe a few people hear and the want to force a church to marry them in this country but that's not going to happen

the only wanting more going on is for their to be same sex marriage across the entire nation

Sure, the same thing Bush told us about why the terrorists hate us.

the hell are you talking about china and Russia both step on peoples rights a lot of nations do and can be despised on their own merits

now can you pleas point out who hates them out of jealousy for their influence and explain how you came to that conclusion

or if not can you withdraw your claim that jealousy is a motive

Wearing a swastika pin in Germany or Russia today will also get you thrown in jail.

Homosexuality isn't against the law in Russia. Homosexuality activism promoting homosexuality is outlawed in Russia. Not to many years ago, advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government was also illegal.

View attachment 67161656

but talking about homosexuality is not the same as trying to get people to turn gay people are being arrested for promoting gay rights and tolerance not for promoting homosexuality itself

Neither does having some getting their panties all knotted up over that foreign activist can't enter a sovereign nation and break its laws by advocating a lifestyle that just happens to be legal in that country.

It makes no sense.

It's your usual agitators causing problems.

Smoking tobaco is still legal in America but activist aren't allowed to advertise cigarettes on television, in print or on billboards. Do you see smokers getting their panties all knotted up ?

well since the smoking is harm full to others and being gay is not

and since its citizens of Russia that are primarily being oppressed

and since you can talk about smoking and protest for how you would like smokers and smoking to be treated

id have to say your full of it

Here's Putin's agenda and why he has taken this route.

“Many Euro-Atlantic countries have moved away from their roots, including Christian values,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a recent keynote speech. “Policies are being pursued that place on the same level a multi-child family and a same-sex partnership, a faith in God and a belief in Satan. This is the path to degradation.”

In his state of the nation address in mid-December, Mr. Putin also portrayed Russia as a staunch defender of “traditional values” against what he depicted as the morally bankrupt West. Social and religious conservatism, the former KGB officer insisted, is the only way to prevent the world from slipping into “chaotic darkness.”

As part of this defense of “Christian values,” Russia has adopted a law banning “homosexual propaganda” and another that makes it a criminal offense to “insult” the religious sensibilities of believers.

The law on religious sensibilities was adopted in the wake of a protest in Moscow’s largest cathedral by a female punk rock group against the Orthodox Church’s support of Mr. Putin. Kremlin-run television said the group’s “demonic” protest was funded by “some Americans.”

Mr. Putin’s views of the West were echoed this month by Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow, the leader of the Orthodox Church, who accused Western countries of engaging in the “spiritual disarmament” of their people.

In particular, Patriarch Kirill criticized laws in several European countries that prevent believers from displaying religious symbols, including crosses on necklaces, at work.

The cities of St. John's, Quebec City, and Montreal will fly the rainbow LGBT flag to protest the treatment of gays in Russia for the duration of the Olympics in Sochi.

This article can be found at the Montreal Gazette.

I hope more cities will choose to protest the anti-gay laws in Russia by doing this. Hopefully we can get more Canadian cities to do it as well as some American cities. Do you think that your/nearest city would raise the LGBT flag?

Did Russia outlaw being gay, or did they just outlaw saying that being gay was equal to not being gay?

Just curious?

I'm catching a lot of grief here over my comments about gay rights, so I'm just going to set this straight, so to speak.

First, I am pretty neutral on gay marriage. I don't have a problem with everybody being treated equally. I've been pretty clear about that. One of my best friends (before we moved away from the Chicago burbs) was gay. He was also my boss and my gym partner. My wife and I had our wedding reception at his and his partner's house, which I helped build. Does anyone really think someone who is against gay people is going to spot or be spotted by one on the bench? Or share locker room space with them? I am really, REALLY tired of people telling me that I am against gay people because I am conservative or Christian. My point has been that the word "marriage" has meant and still means one man and one woman. Words have meanings, and that is what this word means. If gay people want to have a lifelong commitment and have all the benefits and negatives of being married so be it. But it is not by definition a marriage.

As for whatever laws exist in Russia concerning any of it, let's be clear about that. I am not Russian. I have never been to Russia, have no intention of going there and certainly have no interest, power or interest in their laws. If you are gay, want to be gay, or simply want to support gay people in Russia I suggest you go there and do that. Keep in mind that you may be imprisoned, killed, or just have people be mean to you if you do. I think it is important to point out that in this is exactly what Christians face in some places. I'm not going to any of those places either.

As for the definition of marriage, it has meant, over the course of my lifetime, one thing specifically. If you want to change that to fit your lifestyle, you can call your relationship whatever you want to, but I am not going with you. Likewise, those who want to change what the second amendment means will not get my support either. This is a subject I DO care about. I own guns, I reload and develop ammunition, I teach marksmanship and Revolutionary War history. I know what the founders meant by "shall not be infringed". I know why they stated it so plainly. And their opinions and reasoning for it are clearly outlined in the Federalist Papers. There is no question about it. Revisionists may try to redefine the meanings for their own purposes, but They. Are. Wrong. And redefining marriage as two men or two women is incorrect too.

So regardless of your feelings, reality is still reality. That does not equate to hate. It more closely equates to people not getting what they want thinking they can force their opinions on others under the guise of fairness. It does not make them any less wrong. And the constant insistance that everyone else change their minds and definitions of words to clarify your feeling is selfish and exclusive. You simply can not be equal and exceptional at the same time. So when you insist that I hate gay people after it has been made abundantly clear that I don't, it is not that you are gay or support gay people that riles me, it is your inability or unwillingness to listen to what I am saying that pisses me off. It means you are either deaf, blind or so sure that you are right regardless of evidence to the contrary that I simply can not take you seriously.

And that is the last I have to say on the subject. I'm done with it.

its great you don't hate gay people and almost want to give them equality but definitions change most dictionary's I find these days do define marriage as also being between 2 people of the same gender

it doesn't make sense that people cant get married because your personal definition of the word reflects when they could not hell it doesn't make sense no matter how widely such a definition is accepted

no one not even you are opposed to gay marriage because it cant happen their would be no need to oppose it in that case

you simply don't want it to happen

I won't. Russia's policies are discriminatory, and they should hear it. Who are you to demand people "be quiet"?

look at these un Olympic bastards

Sounds like a social conservatives utopia.

Nah...they will move forward comfortably in their lives. They arent the ones clamoring for 'normalcy'. Then again...they dont run around in the streets in parades wearing assless chaps and boas trying to prove how 'normal' they are. Until THAT group gets the memo...with or without marriage, their lives will continue to be ****ed up. Shame, that.

ok but can we give all of them and us the option of marge to some 1 of the same gender in the mean time and moral support when it comes to having the same freedoms that we enjoy

so Putin and other Russians want to violate peoples freedom of speech and of religion in the name of the Russian orthodox church figured as much already but I guess I didn't appreciate the hypocrisy of not letting people say what they like about your religion so you can use your religion to say whatever you want about them

And they use to try to sell them to kids:

just wish I knew who was trying to sell being gay to kids pretty sure the Russians need to narrow down the list of suspects as well as their limits on free speech

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's freedom of speech in Russia.
