U.S. immigration bill 'in doubt' this year, Republican Ryan says

ha, your living will does not forbid the police from declaring you a danger to yourself and others (which you probably are) and sending you to the wacky shack for 48 hours for observation......

can you believe it? now our forum lawyer is an expert in end of life care decisions ;)

Having extreme views does not qualify one for a Baker hold. Thinking it does may.

believing that we need to enact Fortress America on both sides and shredding the constitution I think something is wrong with them

Thank goodness your view isn't the standard for Baker hold otherwise nearly every liberal would be on psych hold for that last.

Something is wrong. I was born about 200 years too late.

:ranton:The immigration bill was in doubt last year also.
From the party who promised us action after the august recess was over.
It's hard to accomplish the Nation's business when scheduling only 112 days of "official" business.:rantoff:

There weren't any laws restricting immigration in this country 200 years ago. The first was 1875.

No. I'd have the Government CONFISCATE that land, along with a similar buffer along the Canadian border. Eventually it would be constructed to be a dual level defensive perimeter that would make the coastal defenses of Normandy look like paper mache. Between the levels would be a "no man's land/minefield" with overwatch from the interior defensive perimeter and electronic surveilance..

Kim Jung Un would be proud.

Nor were there any laws forcing you to give any aid or assistance to those who did immigrate or stopping you from discriminating against them and making them feel as unwelcome as humanly possible.

Does this guy genuinely feel this way, or is he really just an extreme leftist trying to make conservatives look bad?

We all have certain issues that make us want to argue for going overboard. Just think of Tigger as the right equivilent of the leftist no borders set.

I'm as serious as having a heart attack in the middle of the Sahara Desert. I don't have a sense of humor. If you read it from me, it's what I believe.

It's my understanding that nearly every country in the world protects its borders with military, why shouldn't we?

I am all for it. But I understand from the political show on Fox this morning, the Republicans dont want to do anything about immigration, some silly talking point about not trusting the president. I bet it has more to do with the cheap labor.

We have good reason not to trust him.
