mmm don't think they would yawn at a severe ice storm regardless of how used to it they are.

There has not been any better winters here for us in decades! Who ever heard of a go-out-with-jacket-alone-February in Dardania?!
Hey, look! I spent all that money on things and travel producing huge quantities of co2 and now you get the warmth? And you make fun of me out here in the cold? You're mean.

Do not get me wrong. All I am saying is that the weather has been fair in targeting the most responsible for global climate. Would you have felt better if we who had the least contribution to global climate (assuming it is anthropogenic) would pay the heavy price as you do? Plus a small not united with Albania country such as ours may not have the necessary facility to bounce off the damage of such a severe weather like you could.

As to being mean, you are welcome to pay us a visit until the weather at your country calms down. You can even plan this ahead for next winter if interested.

I always giggle at this kinds of post. Yep, I am a giggler.

But what was the weather like 500 years ago in these areas. This is what winter is suppose to be like in these areas.

500 years ago there were no power lines to be be destroyed by ice.
500 years ago there was no family without burning wood. Some people use electricity for heating nowadays. When there is no electricity they have no heating.
    Go ahead, giggle.

Living of England's south coast has been interesting lately.

Porthleven, in the first pic, had fishing boats sunk inside the harbour!

BBC News - Before, during and after: Southern storms

The forecast here is more of the same, and worse, for the weekend.
