I think the hit Christie is taking in the MS Media is also transferring to the Republican as a whole. Probably not tarring the Republican Party directly, but Christie being in the headlines constantly has kept other issues from being aired and reported on. The NSA, the IRS, the ACA have been taken off of page one and place on page ten. President Obama’s approval ratings have climbed from 39% to 43.5% per RCP averages since Christie took over the front page. Christie has been great news for Democrats.

So maybe the question is, does the MS Media have their priorities in the right order? Does NSA spying or collecting data on America, is that worse than a bridge’s lane closing or more significant? Does the IRS targeting conservative groups keeping them from airing their ads, is that worse than a bridge’s lane closing or more significant? A free speech issue perhaps. What about all that has been happening with the ACA for the entire month of January, the ACA effects a whole lot more people than a bridge’s lane closure?

But then perhaps the question surrounding Christie is not so much the lane closures, but political vindictiveness and payback using government means to do it. If so, then shouldn’t it be front page news? After all most Americans can relate to traffic jams and lane closures whereas the IRS curbing speech and NSA collection of data is more abstract unless it happens to you personally. Is the IRS, NSA also using government means for political payback, maybe?

Perhaps the news presented whether warranted or not is determined by what sells and viewers attracted. If so the Christie story is a lot more news worthy, the other pale in comparison. This is just some thoughts that passed through my mind. I don’t have answers, just thoughts I would like to get answers to.

Kind of what I'm thinking too. I won't believe it until I see it. There seems to be a bit of pile-on mentality going. I'd rather see the evidence than the accusations.

TBH, if he did play part, he deserves condemnation for this petty bullishness but I'm much more concerned with the Sandy money and if it was used in the same petty political payback manner. I mean, if people suffered after that natural disaster simply due to his payback maneauvers... he needs to go down and go down hard. But like the bridge closures... I won't believe it until I see the evidence.

And yes, my concern is also with the Sandy money.
And it will soon be the concern of Sen. Rockefeller's committee, IMO .

I don't know what O'Reilly will do. I am not really interested to find out either. I know what I like about Obama and what I don't like and being as old as I am, I am fairly set in my opinions by now. I do not need any reinforcement one way or the other to cement my views.

I just, or I should say we the USA needs to elect someone qualified this time, and I don't care who that is, but it ain't Hillary that's for sure. We need to stop electing lawyers who only want to win, we need problem solvers.
