Re: Silicon Valley billionaire compares treatment of America's rich to Nazi persecuti

facepalm...

The parrellel is the dangerous undertone of SCAPEGOATING one group for the use of politcal gain by another.....

does that really need to be explained...

how come they dont blame the "stupid and ignorant" for their plight? butsomehow its "the evil rich"?? ... this sounds very much like what happened to the Jews.. only the blind cant see it

Is there something wrong with your keyboard? I could recommend a good replacement.

These guys just tend to live in an entitled world where it's very uncomfortable for them to not get their way as it happens so rarely. They tend to not know how to process it in any way approaching a realistic perspective.

the ignorance of the two above posts boggles my mind... the analogy is spot on to anyone who knows history..

I never got a job from a flea ridden hippie with no cash...those "realistic" type you wax about.. who sit home and collect my tax money.. they have the "perspective" Oprah feeds to them as they sit on their ass..

Of course they do that, yet that doesn't invalidate my statement or have anything to do with my statement at all really.

One can both be spoiled and a good business person.

They don't take huge risks. It's against the law and convention.

He is actually right. Very few venture capitalist organizations risk more than a small % of their available capital.

like being stupid and a good liberal?

A good example.

One can be both stupid or smart / liberal or conservative.

These two sets of attributes don't have much to do with each other.

Not sure if serious.

A billionaire losing his billions is almost unimaginable under the law and permitted economic practice. There was a vice president of some company who now works at Target or something but he is noted as an extreme anomaly. Even in the worst case scenarios entail retiring above the $30,000,000 threshold that designates the super wealthy.

If a billionaire could lose his billions, then the entire economy could explode at any given moment.

In the past, that was a very real possibility, and fortunes were always rising and falling in America.

Even giving away billions of dollars is hard and requires years of work and lawyers and accountants, because of the laws and firms tied up in maintaining that kind of money.

so buying a super yacht and putting people to work in that industry was not a "risk"... do you know if he lost 50 million as of today on that investment that created jobs and wealth for others..? do you have any idea how he made that money.. in reality you do not.. did he risk his postion to acquire another Co? or have to invest in people or technology.. find the clients? perform for his clients?...

the painting of this man as "the evil rich" is a CANARD.. THE LEFT USES TO BRING HATE ONTO THEIR ENEMIES....

its mind numbing..

Re: Silicon Valley billionaire compares treatment of America's rich to Nazi persecuti

It appears nobody quoted his piece in it's entirety:

Jan. 24, 2014 4:49 p.m. ET

Regarding your editorial "Censors on Campus" (Jan. 18): Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its "one percent," namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the "rich."

From the Occupy movement to the demonization of the rich embedded in virtually every word of our local newspaper, the San Francisco Chronicle, I perceive a rising tide of hatred of the successful one percent. There is outraged public reaction to the Google buses carrying technology workers from the city to the peninsula high-tech companies which employ them. We have outrage over the rising real-estate prices which these "techno geeks" can pay. We have, for example, libelous and cruel attacks in the Chronicle on our number-one celebrity, the author Danielle Steel, alleging that she is a "snob" despite the millions she has spent on our city's homeless and mentally ill over the past decades.

This is a very dangerous drift in our American thinking. Kristallnacht was unthinkable in 1930; is its descendent "progressive" radicalism unthinkable now?

First of all, super yachts and jets are job inefficient industries. Their production is spaced out to the extent it requires far less upkeep than the machinery used and needed to create middle class appliances. It would be much better if the money was directed at buying an equal value of televisions or cars. Value for dollar that creates far more jobs than making a luxury appliances like a private yacht or jet, because creating televisions for that many families creates thousands and tens of thousands of machines that require human maintenance and direction rather than a few dozen or hundred.

Re: Silicon Valley billionaire compares treatment of America's rich to Nazi persecuti

Like I said, It really isn't so much about tax policy, that is just the deflection put up....It is the underlying radical hate speech against those that have attained success.

So where are you when there's radical hate speech against the non-rich?

Re: Silicon Valley billionaire compares treatment of America's rich to Nazi persecuti

this one of Obamas ways to ENSLAVE to the goverment.. this Alinsky clown knows what he is doing in his path to demonize and his enemies and ENSLAVE those hoe voted for him.... instae4d liek Alinksy they have to find a "boogieman and enemy" to Obama thats the "Rich"

article below

Five years in to Barack Obama’s presidency, the number of African-Americans participating in the labor force has hit rock bottom. The current rate for African American men in the labor force fell 0.7 percentage points to 65.6 percent in December, the lowest on record.

That’s not all.
A recent study found that African-Americans are also more likely to get denied a home lone than other ethnic groups.
CNN reported:

More African-Americans are being squeezed out of the housing market.
Not only are they less likely to apply for a mortgage than any other ethnic group, but African-Americans are also 2.4 times more likely to get denied a mortgage than Whites, a recent study conducted by Zillow and the National Urban League found.

Barack Obama captured 93% of the black vote in 2012.
This is their reward – Jobless, homeless and in poverty.
