Why not donate their wealth, become poor, and no longer be a "target" for criticism?

Would even a Jesus the Christ complain.

You may be right but I still feel safer in a bank then walking through a low income neighborhood at 2am.

Donate their wealth to whom? What happens should they work and regain that wealth? Would they have to re-donate it? This idea of taking away others peoples honestly earned money raises a lot of questions.

Powerful governments have historically created a great deal of problems for their citizenry, though many leftists feel that a big brother type of government might alleviate some of the bothersome details of living an independent life.

And weak governments allow powerful individuals in society to trample all over the populace as well, see Somalia and the warlords.

No one is advocating a government with unlimited power.

    BALANCE is key.

Balance is the key, yes, but do you see the government becoming more powerful or less powerful in the United States? Look at what happens when some US citizens protest the growth of government and how they are vilified by those in power, as well as by those who prefer more government control over their lives.

By the way, absurd comparisons with basket cases like Somalia don't really add to your argument.

It IS over the top rhetoric. After all...they dont really see themselves as Nazi's...more like "revolutionaries" readying the...what did 274ina say...oh yeah...the guillotine (well...he actually said guilotine...but whats in an L after all).

I get it...its over the top and there is only a small minority of people advancing that kind of rhetoric. But group think is almost always bad. We are one 99% er rally with a rabid ****head doing something stupid away from riots and worse.

Why do you believe they would keep making money if the same conditions didn't exist?

It could be claimed that taking money from the wealthiest could help them get into Heaven.
