I also find it interesting that people keep bring up "DERRRRP OCCUPY." That was almost three years ago.

In order to accurately compare something to 1930's Nazi Germany, one has to show accurate comparisons and similar situations. This is so exceedingly rare, that when one DOES it appropriately, there is practically never any disagreement. This is not about forgetting what happened. This is about using hackish hyperbole in a discussion about an issue.

If you understand statistics and how to research numbers, you choose the latter. If you don't care about accuracy and just want to find something that conforms to your agenda, you choose the former. Apdst hasn't had a very good couple of days in terms of "being right."

The fact that he compares himself to the plight the Jews faced under Nazi Germany shows just how far he is from reality and the public at large. People are pissed off at massive income inequality and you should to as wealth gaps are quite related to social ills (This Is How Income Inequality Destroys Societies - Business Insider)

Well, I or the author of the op wishes to use hackish hyperbole, but to be fair, the comparison was not in the whole of the horror that was Nazi Germany either, but only a select portion in the early stages of the time. This has been explained many times throughout, and ignored. That I would say is the hackish hyperbole.

We are not generalizing "all" anyone, nor are we saying that the rich ate destined for any particular fate.

What is happening is an underlying campaign to slander, and lie about "the rich" in ways that rile certain fringes of society. And its wrong.

If they're pissed off at supposed inequality, let them do the things to positively change that.

You are misrepresenting what Perkins said. Nothing in his letter restricted it to "a select portion in the early stages of the time"

He compared it to 1930's Germany. In 1933, Germany forced Jews out of many jobs. A few years later, they forced the out of schools, theaters, and other public spaces as well as certain parts of the cities (ie ghettoization). Then came the organized pogroms.

His comparison was way off base.

As soon as you bring Nazi Germany into the picture, you paint hackish hyperbole that makes your argument look weak and over emotional. Whether it was the 40's or the 30's, there is no comparison between the two issues that are being discussed. The explanations do not refute that.

As far as slander towards the rich, there is just as many attacks and slander towards the poor... and towards others. I have no sympathy towards either group.
