No, because most are just proving him right and the aces point you're making for you. This is a damned funny thread.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Ugh, such a tough choice to make.
He may be a bit hyperbolic, but you can't say the left never uses hyperbole or demagogy to make their points can you ?

And in essence what he said is true ?

When did America ever decide it was ok to focus on envy as a legislative jumping off point ? Seriously, thats the childish central theme of your Presidents state of the union address...

It's literally the best he can do considering how sick this Countries economy is. Take from those who have more and let the Government do it for you.

If the rich are so scared, they should hire more security. I mean, they obviously have the money to do so and they would be keeping their side of the bargain by creating jobs. Of course, don't expect too much security if they plan on paying minimum wage.

Not entirely true...He was talking about the times before the all out Nazi crackdown in Germany, and how the mood among today's Occupy crowd, and even those that go along with the current administrations demonetization of those with wealth, ie; 'you didn't build that', along with always furthering the theme of "fair share" is stirring up an animosity between the different income, and social classes that wouldn't be all that difficult to spark over into action that could be dangerous.

You think he is whining, when he is actually making a valid point. The masses are not that hard to whip up into frenzy with the right language, and Soros can tell you about that...After all how many collapses has he been behind? More than one I can tell you that. Van Jones, Dangerous person if you ask me, and the journalism community has embraced him by giving him a platform on CNN, this is a man that openly called for violent revolution, and expressed himself a communist.

We often only see what we want to see, Lord knows I am guilty of that from time to time, but listen, we as a nation have to stop this nonsense of talking about wealthy, successful people as though they are taking something from the rest of us, instead of going after the dream ourselves.

The "you didn't build that" remark referred to infrastructure, highways bridges and the like. It was taken out of context and used as a mantra, which actually helps the right wing not at all.

    But, that's beside the point.

Yes, there is a certain amount of envy directed at people with great wealth. Some of those billionaires actually amassed that wealth themselves, others didn't. The chances that any of the great unwashed who actually work for wages could ever become billionaires is so tiny that "going after the dream" is more like trying to win the lottery.

And the idea that the masses are going to rise up and capture the wealthy and imprison them for this envy is ludicrous.

But, once again, if he's really afraid that his wealth might result in him being treated as the Jews were treated by the Nazis, my offer to take that terrible burden off of his hands still stands.

Or, if he is a Christian, then of course, he will want to follow the admonitions of Jesus. "Take all that thou hast, give unto the poor, and come, follow me."

    Now, that would make headlines.

Oh no, no you don't. You don't get to make a declarative statement then just brush it over, as though only your point gets to stand....It was NOT taken out of context, the excuse of Obama speaking about infrastructure like roads, was only the cover for a larger Marxist point he was making with that statement. If he doesn't want stupid things to be used as mantra's against him, then he shouldn't embrace such vitriolic, contemptible, and hyperbolic speech when he wants to attack those that disagree with him. He accomplished two things in that sentence, 1. he let his taker mentality base know that he understands they want more stuff at others expense, and 2. He threaten business by ramping up animosity felt by those who don't own businesses.

Let's be clear here, it isn't only "Billionaires" that this vitriol and threat is directed at today, it is anyone that attains success. It was a billionaire that wrote the original article to the paper, but we are talking about a larger problem.

And the idea that the masses are going to rise up and capture the wealthy and imprison them for this envy is ludicrous.
I am sure that the rich during the French Revolution thought the same before anything happened...Didn't end too well for them did it now?

But, once again, if he's really afraid that his wealth might result in him being treated as the Jews were treated by the Nazis, my offer to take that terrible burden off of his hands still stands.
Note, after using the same joke more than twice it gets just plain dumb.

Or, if he is a Christian, then of course, he will want to follow the admonitions of Jesus. "Take all that thou hast, give unto the poor, and come, follow me."
Notice in that quote of scripture it doesn't say anywhere in it, "at the tip of the Roman Spear."

    Now, that would make headlines.
Ah, I see....So he only deserves your respect if he gives all of his money away eh? Pretty presumptuous of you Ditto.
