Grammy Awards to feature live on-air mass marriage ceremony- NYT

I think you're confusing a bunch of weirdos getting married during a music awards show with Woodstock. i get the two confused all the time.

my 15 kid noted that the marriage resembled the "Star wars Bar scene"

And you can't hold true to being a small government conservative and impose your religious doctrines with such fervor.

I'm not an anarchist. There is such a thing as right and wrong, good and evil, moral and immoral. And I do not want government upholding that which is wrong/evil/immoral.

Bruce marrying Bill is hardly evil or immoral Bob. after all I'd rather have two gays in a committed monogamous relationship rather than getting a train pulled on them in a bath house.

I thought the mass marriage was a cheap publicity stunt to try to bolster what was a piss poor show

lol well that part i don't doubt

in ways it probably was done to bolster some positive response from a lack luster show

nope not at all, what makes them weirdos lol
I do agree you seem confused a lot

Well I was hoping for some really really hot lesbian couples in really short matching wedding dresses getting married to be quite honest. No such luck. As I noted before-it looked more like the star wars famous bar scene without Obi Wan doing some light saber surgery

you'd think they'd put the hot lesbian couples in the forefront!

No surprise that the same bunch who supports degrading the concept of marriage, by putting forth such a sick mockery as “same sex marriage”, would also treat marriage as a cheap publicity stunt.

You cannot possibly support “same sex marriage”, and still hold any respect for what marriage is truly about.

Some people should just go and play in some cement.

Who are you and who cares what you want?

Sickening, to say the least.

It's sad to see those with perverted sexual appetites flaunt their disgust publically.

It's good to see that you still don't understand the meanings of words nor the difference between opinion... which you post, and fact which you don't.

I'm a vehement supporter of SSM but this seems really weird and gaudy. Marriage is supposed to be a solemn commitment between people, not a publicity piece for an awards show. I also find mass marriage to be really culty personally.

The OP's article uses the term "mass marriage," as do other articles. "Renewal of vows" or "re-commitment ceremony" or whatever, the interruption was a stunt, one that served to cheapen both "marriage" and the Grammies, in my opinion. What a challenge for the Oscars to top this, though.

mass marriage in a shark tank overseen by a midget on a tricycle. You know, just to show they care and not exploit a trending political debate for commercial interests

I think it actually encapsulates the SSM movement quite nicely, in the same way that modern feminism was nicely encapsulated by Beyonce shaking her thonged ass at the crowd.

*searches google*

yes we all know you are against equal rights and freedom, you are free to have those feelings and opinions but they are meaningless

werent some of the presenters/performers enough? man you are greedy

Well I remember the days when you could tune in to MTV and actually see videos. Those days are long gone my friend. These cultural elites just have to be heard as everyone knows they're all so much more enlightened than the rest of us. ;)

P.S. I haven't watched an awards ceremony in decades.

Tim-

I agree. When MTV first started, it was nearly all videos... and a bit of news. I mean it's called MUSIC Television for a reason... though it seems to have forgotten that.

Poor Bob. You STILL don't know the difference between a subjective position, which is what you posted above, and facts, which, based on your post above, you have no clue about. Don't worry, though. I'll keep reminding you whenever you make these kinds of errors and forget that morality is relative and yours has no bearing on anything other than to you.

Gotta agree. Along with it being political which I wish they would try to keep out of the entertainment business. It just looks tacky and pressured.

I am an American citizen, who has as much right as every other American citizen to express my opinion regarding the the kind of society in which I wish to live; and to use whatever power I have at the voting booth and in the economic marketplace and elsewhere to attempt to shape my society accordingly.

And I am someone who stands solidly and unalterably against the moral and social decay that you and those like you wish to impose upon society.

I have imposed nothing on society or on you...I have simply been receptive to the idea of freedom for all, which makes us the greatest nation on earth...

Ah yes, your open hearted and generous acceptance of those with differing political opinions and religious backgrounds is quite awe inspiring.

Do I detect a touch of sarcasm in your statement?:
