Smoking pot when someone is AT HOME does NOT infringe on your rights. The fact YOU and others don't understand how to test for it on the road is not a reason to make it illegal.

You were the one that brought up that you want the highways "SAFE" and I just poked holes in your comment, that isn't deflection. That is your lack of being able to defend your position.

    LOL !!

Wow ! Legalizing marijuana would have no effect on " teens" and young people ?

When you allow a wash of harmful chemicals to enter into a community AND remove a needed stigma by lying about Marijuans effects, you dont think kids are going to got their hands on it in much higher numbers than before ?

I don't see the higher numbers. Pot has always been easily obtainable. This, for teens, is the same as alcohol.

The comparison argument doesn't fly with me.

Pot and alcohol are different as are their effects both short time and long term.

When it comes down to it, by legalizing pot your allowing it to wash into the Communities that MY kids have to grow up in.

And its effects ARE self destructive.

Why does a stoners self destructive habit have to infringe upon my wanting to raise my family in a Community not awash with idiot stoners ?

Why does his "rights" supercede mine ?

Are you trying to tell me that you now live in a community that is free of "stoners"?

Are you trying to tell me that legalizing it wouldn't cause more people including kids to smoke it ?

That legalizing it wouldn't make it far easier for kids to get a hold of it ?

If you want to compare it to alcohol then fine.

Moderate alcohol use doesn't cause your IQ to dive, pot does, especially the hydro thats available today.

Is that really a good idea ? To dumb down entire community with chemicals ?

Legalizing it is forcing someone elses self destructive addiction on to me and my family.

    Lots of smoke, constantly.

As for farm work, I *always* use protection when using fertilizers, etc here on my place and exhale/turn my face away when opening ANY bag of feed or chemicals that might give off dust when opened or disturbed.

Really? How much is criminalization of pot stopping them now?

That is always just a silly reason. Of course they'll still get it...just like they get cigs and alc.

And the stigma means little to most of them....makes it 'cooler' if anything.

    So no, not higher numbers.

Well then I guess you are for prohibition then since kids, due to either the fault of the parents or someone buying it for them, might have alcohol too right?

There are NEGATIVE effects to teens and alcohol as well. So are you for prohibition then?
