Controversial bill to expand religious protections advances

Here's the problem - too many on the right see efforts to restrain the imposition of specific religious beliefs on all Americans as "liberals ... using government to stick their nose in religion"

As a wise person recently observed: At what point did "Whatever two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is no concern of yours" turn into "BAKE ME A GODDAM CAKE MO**ERFU**ER!"?

Also, Pro-Tip: Never eat something you forced someone to make for you.

Who named you arbiter of framing the debate? Funny I didn't see you standing up for the little sisters of the poor wishing not to have to pay for contraceptive services.

If the words match my feelings, there is nothing wrong with that. When you have to resort to screaming "liberal" you already lost the debate.

Well this statement tells me you know nothing more than the propaganda about that story. The Little Sisters of the Poor were not ordered to pay for contraceptive services. Do a bit of non-biased reading to find the true story.

Another example of just why political conversations so often turn into circle spinning. I post, "Do a bit of non-biased reading to find the true story." and the response seemingly says I don't care what I read or hear that contradicts my beliefs because I KNOW THE TRUTH!"

Yeah, why would blacks want to go to a white school, women to work in a "men's job", a Muslim to work in Christian establishments etc etc. Everyone should stick to their group and then there wouldn't be discrimination.

No one cares what your take on myself personally is, and you would do better with a more honest argument that doesn't aim to tell others what they are saying/thinking....I know though, arrogance among progressive/socialists knows no bounds.

People should be able to gather in their house and read nearly any book they want. Want to study the torrah? Great. Anyway, you said no such case existed and now we have learned of at least one - and it was just one that I recall.. That the law was later changed doesn't negate the point that they were being discrimated against..
