Terror 'Surprise' for Sochi Olympics? Purported Suicide Bombers' New Threat - ABC News

Citing a new "surprise package" for Russia and Olympic spectators, Islamist militants in the North Caucasus Sunday launched a new threat to the Sochi Olympics with a purported "martyrdom" video by two suicide bombers who attacked a transit hub 400 miles away.

The video posted on a Chechen extremist site considered a credible platform for militant statements featured two unidentified men before the black flag of jihad and cradling AKMS rifles.

The duo -- dressed in street clothes and without the usual trappings of jihadis -- casually explained that Russians and those attending the Winter Games next month will not be safe as long as forces sent by President Vladimir Putin occupy the North Caucasus region near Sochi, Russia.

"We'll have a surprise package for you," one of the men said in the militants' video. "And those tourists that will come to you, for them, too, we have a surprise. If it happens [the Olympics], we'll have a surprise for you. This is for all the Muslim blood that is shed every day around the world, be it in Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, all around the world. This will be our revenge."

Should I post an article about Fallujah to prove that not only is Obama a liar, but terrorism is worse than when he took office. It's worse everywhere. The Olympics are an international event, do you believe only one terrorist group is interested in making a statement there?

You realize that if Obama had stayed in Iraq to defend Fallujah you would have whined and cried about him breaking his campaign promise...

Personally, to me Fallujah is Iraq's problem. Getting out of Iraq was the right thing to do. Iraq can handle it's own security.

The article does not mention Obama so why do you? Obama uses clever terms like weakened "core Al Qaeda leadership" when most normal folks do not draw such fine distinctions between those engaged in the great jihad. Obviously, whether you call Islamic terrorists Al Qaeda sympathizers or freedom fighters, they are not going away any time soon. Whether Obama keeps them permanently in a zoo called GITMO or simply zaps them using drones he must appear to be making progress, so he makes moronic speeches touting his terror fighting policy success.

Ya you made your statement but what Obama said was AQ was on the run not terrorism in general, the statement that AQ is on the run is open to good criticism and there's a lot of examples that show its not the case like Iraq for example or Yemen or Africa. However the Caucasus region of Russia near Sochi is not an area that has AQ in it although it does have terrorism issues.

Now what's your dumb ass excuse or reasoning?

Stay on topic here, I just said he was wrong so why are you acting as if I didn't? I'm talking about your painfully obvious mistake and refusal to admit it, of course I doubt its really a mistake you just don't have any standards for your own behavior and aren't above a little lying or twisting of the truth when it suits you.
