false dichotomyAs was pointed out in the other thread about his, he wasn't talking about people in the general public. He was talking about politicians in the legislature because such politicians would not represent the republican public of New York.
false dichotomy
I guess we can expect Chic-fil-A to get run out of town soon.
I was just trying to fill in the real context instead of the fauxoutrage narrative brought by the op and its source.
Gov. Cuomo: Pro-life people not welcome in New York | Fox News
Well, so much for compromise, diversity, and respect for opposing viewpoints...
I used the wrong word/phrase. I guess I should've checked the dictionary before I posted that. I guess I should've said 'false distinction'. Zyphlin made the point fairly well, even if he was too wordy. http://www.debatepolitics.com/break...le-not-welcome-new-york-5.html#post1062820474What dichotomy?
As much as I am for a woman to have the right to choose abortion and I am for SSM being legal, I find these comments from the governor very idiotic.
As a governor, you are in a leadership position and not only represent the people that voted for you but also the people of the state of New York. I find these comments are just plain dividing and serve no real purpose. It also shows a lack of leadership.
Why the F would anyone want to live in NY anyway?
How should I know? I'm not a reporter. Fox doesn't have the best reputation for being reliable.
Try Google, then you have a choice and can get the liberal slant (if they even report it), instead of the actual story.
New York is a great place.
That said, is Cuomo getting pointers from Sarah Palin or something? It sounds like her "real America" thing.
I've stated multiple times that I want reliability, not a "liberal slant". I'm going to take your post as a personal attack that wouldn't have occurred if i left my "lean" private.Try Google, then you have a choice and can get the liberal slant (if they even report it), instead of the actual story.

New York does not permit the abrogation of fundamental liberties in order to satisfy some people's religious leanings. Feel free to never obtain an abortion yourself and not to work as an abortion provider. But that is all that liberty entitles you to. You don't get to restrict other people's actions to conform to your religion.
Only a liberal would play the victim card 36 posts in. Didn't have to check which way you "lean" to figure that out.
I'm really not interested in this conversation if you're going to attack my ideology as opposed to my skepticism of the source.Only a liberal would play the victim card 36 posts in. Didn't have to check which way you "lean" to figure that out.

what source would you find acceptable? Huffington? LMAO!, the NYT? LOL, MSNBC? c'mon man
digsbe said:Pro-life? You must be an anti-women, pro-rapist mysoginist.
Anti-SSM/pro-traditional marriage? You must be a closed minded, hate-filled bigot.
Pro-2nd amendment? You must be a war mongering redneck that glorifies violence.
Now, let's stand on a progressive mantra of love and tolerance and embrace diversity (unless of course you don't agree with what we want, and we will hate you and judge you for being different. Also, you are not welcome here).
/hypocrite.
Again, it's not BS. FOX viewers tend to be the least informed.Take it however you want, like I give a crap. You're the one that started with the Fox News BS.
