I want to take issue with that broad brush of yours. I don't believe that's true. Most liberty minded people understand the risks. And in this particular case, a terrorist attack, lighting strikes, death by bee stings and a host of other rare forms of death are more likely to kill you than a terrorist attack and we're not concerned. NSA hasn't been out there knocking down repeated attempts by terrorists to attack us, we all know that. If you are discounting what Senator Church warned about the NSA 39 years ago, if you are discounting the Edward Snowden disclosures, the comments on the NSA program by constitutional lawyers, law professors, politicians on both sides of the isle, all in favour of accepting the rhetoric that we just heard from Obama on Friday, OK.

Why does this take time? Stop ****ing spying on people. Those responsible should be in a cell.

"Obama asked Holder and Clapper to consider whether new privacy safeguards could be added."

Cool, well we are not asking. This article makes it pretty clear that very little to nothing will actually be done about this. How long are we going to tolerate it? How many of our rights needs to be walked on by the government? All of these slime balls are playing for the same team.
Clapper lied to congress, why ask his sorry ass ANYTHING, lock it up!

So when's Boehner going to pass that bill to get rid of the NSA forever. I'm waiting. I'll support it. Where is it?

    It's amazing.

It really goes to show how far having an (R) or (D) after your name means to some people. If it's a (D) you can do whatever the **** you want and if it's an (R) you're a fascist warmongering pig rich white racist....

Both can do the same **** - some like Obama (D) can take it to the extreme but no progressive gives a **** about that.

At least constitutional republicans, libertarians and other patriot groups called bull**** with the Patriot Act - I don't see that happening with Obama supporters - they will love that mother****er no matter what he does. He could eat a baby and progressives wouldn't bat an eye at it just as long as Jay Carney spun it the right way - a way progressives could rationalize it.

We shall see my friend, we shall see. It is my understanding the law that authorized this metadata expires in 1 Jun 2015. At that time would be an excellent opporturnity to ensure it is not renewed. I usually do not paint with such a broad brush, sorry about that. Usually I say most or some.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I never blamed the government either, I have no idea what you're reading in what I said.

If we want to get rid of the NSA forever, that sounds great. When's Boehner going to get the bill going? He's not because Republicans back this just as much as Democrats and "Marse Barack."

Who's defending him? If the wonderful, all good GOP is so against it, where's the bill? It should pass the House easily, don't you think?

Why? He passes all sorts of other laws with the use of his agencies. Why not this?

Of course the other side of this coin is that the Patriot Act was such a great idea in 2001 when there was an (R) in office, at least according to some who now think it's the most horrible thing ever.
