Senate report: Attacks in Benghazi could have been prevented

It takes 16 days to admit to something they knew hours after the attack? This situation was not muddy at all, though they tried to make it so.

It was not based on a video, it was not a protest which got out of hand. It was a terrorist attack and everyone knew it. Clinton, Obama and Susan Rice all lied. |They are serial liars and yet you will defend this. Is there no pride or character left in the Democratic party?

Remember when demo's were having a cow over the PDB for Bush relating to terrorism, and AQ after 9.11? It is reported that Obama failed to take his PDB's the entire week before this attack at Benghazi because campaigning got in the way....Aren't double standards great?

There doesn't seem to be any standards here at all. People who are willing to lie for their political party are certainly not uncommon and they never seem to have the depth to realize that this always comes to a bad end for everyone.

Sadly, you would see it different if it was a republican. But the point is, you cannot read minds. You are being wildly subjective and exaggerating to suit your biased belief system.

Bull****, dont tell me how I would see things-your coping mechanisms dont extend to me.

Its a shame, how much he supplicates to Dear Leader.

Well, does it seem to you that this went on for much longer than it should have? People are rightly suspicious when things take forever to come to light. There were delays in testifying, obfuscations, "at this point what difference does it make" irrelevancies, etc. It was weird how after it happened an a film maker was blamed (still in jail, I believe), then evidence about a planned attack, then Candy Crowley covering for the President in a debate. Over 16 months after the fact Hillary finally states that she regrets the incidents.

This could have been over so much earlier.

certainly, but quite common.

Sure it is...Obama wanted to continue campaigning on "AQ on the run", and this was just not convenient to their narrative....So, they tried to cover up that terrorism was responsible for this during the campaign....When you think about it, Watergate was less of a breech of trust than this was...But I understand, you won't see that because of your support of Obama.

What in the hell are you talking about here? I am talking about the news media interviews with the terrorists that carried out the attack, you know, the ones that Obama promised that he would bring to justice, but now can't seem to find, yet an American reporter has no problem finding?

I swear....!

Yeah, kind of like Cheney's vote for us or die, which again you didn't mind. And that went on for longer than 3 days, longer than 16 days, and even involved questionable use of the color coated threat system. Again, you didn't mind. Suggesting that you are all for such politics as long as guy is using it.

But, the point here is the issue wasn't what you guts tried so desperately to make it out to be.

And I'm talking about the news media being used by the Bush administration to sell the war. Doing all the things you accuse it if with Obama. Do you see it yet?

Whether it did or not isn't really the issue. 16 days wasn't enough to effect anything, it was corrected, and it has been investigated. And frankly, every single thing you say about Obama and democrats is just as true with republicans. All politicians for that matter. Your selective outrage and exaggerations are something to watch.

Now comes the deflection to something completely off topic. This well established and dishonest pattern continues.

Of course that's not up to you to decide, and thank Goodness for that.

Yet another deflection, and on the same post!

Of course t is the issue!

16 days wasn't enough to effect anything,
The President, The Sec of State and the US Ambassador lied to the Americqn people, and to the world, for over two weeks. And everyone who was not a low info Democrat, knew it.

it was corrected,
Of course iit was, well after the lies were exposed for what they were, and with enugh time to cloud the issue until after the election.
and it has been investigated.
It has never been properly investigated. You must knw that.

And frankly, every single thing you say about Obama and democrats is just as true with republicans. All politicians for that matter. Your selective outrage and exaggerations are something to watch.
[/QUOTE] More deflections.

It's not deflection. I've shown you the time line. You whine and whine and whine. I merely point out your hypocrisy as well. It is appropriate to have a comparison. How is he worse, when he did do as bad?

No, it isn't. From the Gulf of Tonkin, to aspirin factories, to arms for hostages, to wmds ( that became WMD programs that became WMD program related activities that became spreading freedom), few things come out quickly. In the context of the history of these things, it was lightening quick.

Oh, and results that don't turn out as you wish doesn't equal it wasn't investigated.

It us what it is.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
― Samuel Adams

Oh please, stop the hyperbolic nonsense. No one is in servitude. I've lost no freedom. They is no tyranny.

May your chains set lightly upon you.

I have no chains. And I don't have the need to exaggerate. The truth is enough for me. May one day be enough for you. Being a drama queen is hard work I hear.

The people on the right who chirp incessantly about tyranny wouldn't know actual tyranny if it threw them in a gulag.

The premise of your post shows how authoritarian you are.

You got enough guns to put a mother****er in a Gulag? Oh yeah that's right you are afraid of guns...

History repeats itself and all historical atrocities are open to again happen - we're a feared nation no because of the military complex but because the armed citizens.... Most countries that salivate over our resources have either banned guns or restricted them.... Furthermore, no one will be forced into a cave - that will just be the place you go to find shelter when the **** hits the fan. You advocates for tyranny will confine yourselves.

They are little pocket statists to the man. These guys trip over themselves to hand over more power to the govt, and mock anyone who would preserve the means of securing freedom.
Administered Freedom, Inquisitorial Tolerance, and Equality by Command...coercion disguised as concern-bit its always about control-both sides know it, but one thinks its for our own good.

Apparently the point of my post soared straight over Nick's head.

I'm not "advocating tyranny," I'm saying that you guys who insist that what we live under today is "tyranny" are off the deep end. This isn't close to tyranny in any way.

Shut up and watch this testimony-listen to what a weaponized IRS does to its citizens.

How is the govt FORCING people to buy private insurance under penalty of law not tyranny?

The same way that government forcing people to obey speed limits isn't tyranny.

The individual mandate is an extension of government authority. That's definitely true. But to call it "tyranny" is ludicrous.

You do realize I have heard your POV about 1,000 times yet every time another one of you posts it as you believe it's unique....

Your posts are hardly unique and hardly philosophical...

I understand your position 10-fold... You just make the same arguments every other progressive makes.

Maybe that is just a collectivist problem? ya think?

Ever notice how you get the same replies to your posts because you bumble the same ****?

You call yourself a progressive but never like to see a discussion/argument or debate progress.

You an anarchist or just a proponent of taxation via intrusion?
