When he comes back, the texter gets all up in his bi'ness, yelling at him, asking him if he "told on him."

The argument escalated, popcorn was thrown and grampa shot the texter.
Yes, throwing popcorn made him fear for his life

That moron just got pissed and killed a man over nothing.

As an ex cop, he absolutely should have known better.

Yes, that's a real number, per FBI crime database. Please don't bother disputing it, FBI crime database is one of those things you can't really twist. Compiling data from all local/state/fed police across the country basically 24/7. Instances where a gun was pulled, fired, present, and prevented a crime from occurring...be that assault/rape/robbery/attempted murder/etc.

So...given the one rare instance of the such, I'd hardly call it something discussing.

What makes me happy, is that 320,000,000 number jumped substantially in 2013. 21,093,273 to be exact per FBI database. And yes, it makes me feel safer....I was responsible for 21 of those.
Gun ownership in your home and CC, walking around with one are very different things. Did you say you bought 21 guns last year?

I'm waiting for the usual suspects to jump in and take his side. Certain people for whom the gun owner is never wrong....

    Yup.

Just because I feel threatened by clowns does not justify a shooting rampage at Toys-R-Us.

CC is synonymous with ownership in most states. In today's climate, about 3/4 of that number carries, and basically all of the newcomers (especially women) bought guns with the sole purpose of CCW.

21, yes sir. A fair amount of them are super evil black rifles. I'm 28, been buying them up since I was 21. 2013 was a big gun year for me Actually, since the new year I've already picked up another 4 AR lowers and two handguns. 2014 will be good too.

Did I mention the copious amounts of ammo I have? I make it a habit to buy a box of defense ammo weekly (as I reload my own range rounds, no need to buy FMJ anymore)

Are you suggesting like... every 3rd person carries a firearm? The states I've lived in, its pretty uncommon for someone to be armed...

The second word in the report is, 'retired'.

I take the side of letting this play out in the criminal justice system and I favor the defendant being afforded all constitutional protections unlike those who are ready to string him up right now.
